"You're hired!" The man said to me. That was a week ago, and here I am just starting my first day. I was going down to playcare. I was beyond nervous, this was my first job, and I was afraid I was going to fuck it up. The rules of my job here seemed alittle strict and left little room to breathe.

*I was going to be working with beings from something called the bigger bodies initiative... whatever the hell that meant.
*I was to question nothing. I was to just accept it for whatever it was, go home and do it all over again the next day.
*My Job was a Playcare Attendant. I was to help watch over the children, with the others also hired in this position.
*I was not allowed to adopt any of the children.
*Telling anyone outside the factory is a fireable offense, and will be handled depending on the severity of the offense.

Whoever made these rules was not playing. I practically have to keep everything silent, not get attached to anything. Come here, do my job, and go home sleep and eat, then do it all over again the next day. I roll my eyes, at the sheer ridiculousness of this job, as the train stops, and I stand at the entrance of playcare. someone was supposed to meet me here, but looking around I see nobody. How professional. I stand there for about five minutes, tapping my foot, waiting on somebody. Throwing my hands up and sighing exasperatedly, I walk up the steps. When I officially walk into the place, I'm in awe.

This place was huge. Five different places for the children to go. That is going to be a lot of exercise chasing after the little rascals. I walk in further, and I'm stopped by wet sounds. I grimace as the source is unfortunately right in front of me. It's a guy on a bench, his clothes wrinkled and slightly messed up, a woman in his lap. They were both in uniform. There were children present, did they not have any shame. I cleared my throat getting their attention. They separated so fast, it was almost cartoonish. The woman glared at me, and the guy gave me a sheepish smile. I gave my most practiced professional smile.

"I don't assume either of you were supposed to be my chaperone and trainee were you? I was out there standing for over five minutes and decided to take matters upon myself, and I'm glad I did. Anyway, my name is Cosmo. Maybe I ask who you two are?" I keep an even tone.

'Keep it professional Cosmo, if this bitch glares any harder, you might erupt into flames.' I think to myself. The guy speaks up. "I'm so sorry Cosmo, I am Junior, your trainee and chaperone for the day. That is Jessica. We apologize for getting caught up in the moment" His voice suggests he is sorry, but his facial expression and body language suggests he is not. In fact I notice that it might have been turned him on slightly. I suppress a shudder, and make a mental note to stay away from these two in the future.

"Nice to meet you Roger; and Jessica. Should we get this show on the road! This is my first job and I would hate to be fired for slacking." I say making eye contact with Roger. He nods his head frantically. "Y-yes we shall" he says. Turning his back to me he moves forward deeper into playcare. Jessica following behind him. I keep up with his steady pace. I notice the dinosaur statues, the artificial trees and clouds. These poor kids think all this is real.

"To the left you have the counselors office; and to the right you have the playhouse. The children love the playhouse. Beside it you have a playground. Moving along you have the toy store on your left, and adjacent to it on the right is the Schoolhouse. Where Miss Delight and her twelve sisters teach the kids so they can grow and learn. The center piece of it all, is the Home Sweet Home. The place where all the children sleep, and where the Smiling critter gang Tuck them in." Roger pauses, his face contorts into a look of deep thinking. He glances at me.

"Have you been told about the Smiling Critters yet?" He asked. It was my turn to give him a look of my own. One of confusion. "I'm sorry what are the Smiling critters?" I question him. He lets out a sigh, followed by a short chuckle afterwards. "The Smiling Critters are a gang of Animal Anthromorph mascots. Each with their own abilities, personalities and well everything that a human being has. While we are on the subject though, every toy from the bigger bodies imitative is alive and free thinking. Huggy Wuggy, Mommy Long Legs, BoxyBoo, Bron and the others that aren't really important right now." He smiles off into space proudly. Living toys.... I look at him in disbelief.
