Juanjo was spending time with his friends in Magallon when Martin sent him a message.

The boys had connected with each other during the final casting, especially during the following 5 days when they had to stay in Barcelona for interviews and medical tests. They had started to talk about The Javis and their new series "The Messias" and realised that they have quite a lot in common with each other. They had been chatting on Instagram occasionally during the following week and liked stories, posts and left some comments on each other's posts. He answered the boy:

A small blush rose to Juanjo's cheek as he received Martin's Moviestar account. His friend Irene noticed the reaction and looked at him knowingly. "Why are you smiling and blushing Juanjo Bona?" she asked. The boy blushed even more and said "A friend of mine sent me his Moviestar account so that I could watch The Messias". "A friend?" Irene questioned with a mocking smile on her face, enjoying Juanjo's discomfort around the topic.

It had never been a topic of interest for Juanjo and Irene to discuss the boy's sexuality, but the face Juanjo was making was definitely worth discussing. "Do you like the boy?" she asked. Juanjo started rambling on about moustaches, friends, Operacion Triunfo, singing and being professional, getting completely inside his head. Irene laughed and tried to calm him down.

After a while Juanjo ended up confessing that they had been talking for a while and interacting on social media. He also let it slip out that the boy was handsome and that was more than enough of a confession to Irene.

A few days passed by while Martin and Juanjo continued to watch the Messias together, or as together as possible taking to notice that they lived 3 hours apart from each other. They watched an episode, then called and discussed it. First their conversations stayed strictly on the topic, but sooner than later their conversations drifted into everything else and their connection grew.

Meanwhile Juanjo had decided to confess his sexuality to Irene as soon as possible, because he wanted that at least one of his friends knew before he possibly entered Operacion Triunfo. There was a possibility of Martin becoming something more than just a friend and if that were to happen knowing that one person from his life would be there for him after the process was enough. Juanjo avoided the conversation for as long as possible, so he finally talked the day he was about to leave.

"Irene, can I tell you something quickly?" he said nervously. Irene just smiled at him and encouraged Juanjo to talk.

"Umm, so, I've been getting to know Martin for a while and I have a feeling that we might end up getting involved, probably already today" he chuckled and continued, "So what I'm trying to tell you is that I like boys and especially I'm starting to like Martin". Irene laughed and hugged the boy in front of her. "Am I a bad friend if I'd say that I already knew?" she asked, laughing. They laughed about it for a while, until Juanjo had to leave. The last thing Juanjo heard from Irene's mouth in three months was "Be yourself and do what makes you happy!" and that was the way he lived before and during the academy.
