The room buzzed with excitement following the successful release of Taehyung's latest album. "So, what do you say, Seokjin? To celebrate this comeback, we should all get together and have a party," the manager proposed, addressing Seokjin directly. Seokjin quickly nodded, trying to divert everyone's attention from himself. "Seokjin has played a significant role in making this album a success for Taehyung, right?" the manager continued, gesturing towards Seokjin. The singer in the room nodded, his gaze fixed on Seokjin, who was deliberately avoiding eye contact.

"This gathering was actually suggested by Taehyung," the manager added. "He specifically mentioned wanting to thank Seokjin, and of course, all of you as well."

"How about tomorrow at 6 pm? We'll all meet here and then decide where to go based on the votes from the list I uploaded in the group chat," the manager concluded.

Cheers erupted from everyone in the room, except for Seokjin, who remained quiet in his corner. He could feel eyes on him, but he refused to acknowledge them. Seokjin would rather endure anything than show vulnerability, especially in front of the one person he wanted to avoid.

Seokjin had been working as a producer for Taehyung for two years. Taehyung was not only a global superstar known for his chart-topping hits but also for his flamboyant lifestyle. The nature of Seokjin's job meant he had to work closely with Taehyung, and it wasn’t long before he started developing feelings for him. However, Seokjin was reluctant to name what he felt, aware that it would lead nowhere. He knew he could never be one of the many people Taehyung casually took home.

After the meeting, everyone left the room except for Taehyung and Seokjin. Taehyung approached Seokjin, who was preparing to leave. "Can we talk?" Taehyung asked gently.

"Sure," Seokjin replied coldly, though the warmth in Taehyung’s voice made his heart race.

"Can I pick you up tomorrow? Our buildings aren't that far apart," Taehyung offered, his eyes gleaming with hope.

Seokjin hesitated, glancing around anxiously. "Alright, I'll be in front of my building at half past five," he agreed reluctantly.

Taehyung couldn't hide his joy at the response. "Thank you," he said, smiling brightly.

"I'm just saving myself a taxi fare. Thank you, Taehyung-ssi. I'll get going now," Seokjin said, bowing slightly. As he left, he regretted agreeing. What could possibly go wrong? They were just carpooling.

"So?" Hoseok, Seokjin's best friend, looked at him suspiciously. "Are you really going on a date with the most famous idol in the world right now?" he teased, lounging on the couch as Seokjin rifled through his wardrobe.

"If you consider being out and having dinner with twenty other people a date, then sure," Seokjin replied dryly, holding up a shirt. "Why do I have this in my wardrobe? The whole upper part of it is sheer."

"He did offer to pick you up. That's something," Hoseok pointed out.

Seokjin rolled his eyes. "We won't ever be anything more than colleagues, Hobi. I'm not his type. He'll probably pick someone up to take home tomorrow as well. That's who he is. Don't get my hopes up."

Hoseok gave Seokjin a sympathetic smile. "Alright, I'm sorry. I won't mention it again. But I just have a good feeling about you two."

Seokjin ignored his friend’s comment and held up the shirt. "I think this will look good on me. I don’t think I’ve worn it before."

"Yes, pair it with black skinny jeans. I’m not sure about Taehyung going home tomorrow night with someone, but my best friend probably will," Hoseok said with a wink.
