I woke up early and prepared breakfast myself. Today is a big day. I decided, for my safety, to put a bodyguard. Ryan’s actions began to scare me very much. Since our breakup, Ryan's behavior has become increasingly disturbing. What started as occasional, unwanted visits quickly escalated. He's shown up at my workplace and my home far too often, despite my efforts to set clear boundaries. His actions have grown more threatening, with menacing messages and verbal threats becoming a regular occurrence. The situation has worsened to the point of stalking, with Ryan frequently lurking near my usual haunts, monitoring my movements. This mounting tension has cast a dark shadow over my otherwise stellar career, leaving me in a state of constant vigilance and distress.
His name was jack he was so handsome but he looked like he knows me like he's a fan or something.
Jack's pov:
I saw her coming from afar. She was extremely beautiful and elegant. She was like an angel walking on the earth, the five-foot-six, blonde , colored eyes is standing in front of me, staring at me. Shit, what did she say? I was busy starting at her like a fucking creep .
jack: I'm sorry I completely missed what you said
She looked at me with a smile and giggled.
Emma : I said hello, it's very nice to meet you.
jack: oh, yes, well, it's nice to meet you as well Ms. Collins
Emma: Please, call me Emma
We look at each other awkwardly.
Boss : Well let's get down to why we are all here shall we?
jack: Yeah, yeah for sure.
Boss : Well, your mother showed us your military career, it was amazing and based on the nature of your job we found you to be-
My body freezes and my hearing goes fuzzy. Hearing about my time in the military makes me go to a dark place. I guess Emma noticed because she placed her hand on my shoulder. Her touch seemed to bring me back into the moment and relax me.
Boss: So, basically you would follow Emma and insure her safety. You know that her ex boyfriend poses a threat to her professional and personal life
jack: I've never really been a bodyguard for someone before, not sure i really would know what to do.
I look to my mom for backup expecting her to side with me.
Sharon: You are looking a lot into it jack
Emma: Think of it more as you are my shadow
She looked at me with a smile. Did she just flirt with me?
Boss: Exactly, her shadow
He said that with a smile reaching his eyes almost like a laugh with no sound. My mom turned around trying to hide her laugh.
jack: okay I'll do it.
Boss: Great, we will meet at dinner and go over the contract. I will email it, so you can go over it ahead of time with any questions.
Jack:Awesome, easy enough.
Boss: Well I'll see you both later
I watched him and my mother walk away talking. Something in the way they were close to each other was a little too friendly, but I blew it off and turned around and I was met with the colored eyed beauty.
After a little while her phone buzzed and she was a little upset.
Emma:oh.. No it's ok I understand
She hangs up.
Emma:well shit
Jack : is everything ok ms. Collins?
Emma: i told you it's Emma it's ok, well my driver had an emergency, I'll wait till my friend lily is done and catch a ride with her.
Jack: well if you don't mind i can drive you home.
Emma : no it's ok I'm fine , you don't have to do that , you don't work for me yet.
Jack: i don't really mind
She looks at me , as if waiting me to say just kidding.
Emma:ok fine I'll go with you.
I went towards the car while she was right behind me . Once we reach the car I opened the passenger door allowing Emma to enter the car. Once we were in the car i saw my phone lighting , so i realized that I left it in the car, I checked my messages real quick to not make Emma uncomfortable.
Jack: sorry , just had to check real quick.
Emma: oh no it's ok take your time.
Jack: oh please, it's my pleasure.
She giggled, and I started the car and drove to her home.
The ride was silent other than towards the end she gave a final directions to her house. We stopped in front of really amazing house with incredible design.
