synopsis; oopsie daisy at a party

pairing; walker scobell x f!reader

it was originally an accident. you were never much of a "party girl", though you were invited to them. your friends, sav and renee, talked you into it.

"at least one party for the last day of freshman year," they said. you agreed, mostly so you weren't forced to a different party later on. upon arrival, your friends ran off into the crowd of people. you recognized a few, but not well enough to go talk to them. you wandered the house for bit, introducing yourself to people briefly and scanning the layout of the home. most people were crowded in the living room and backyard and upstairs seemed off-limits.

later, renee and sav appeared in front of you again, giggling and whispering to each other.

confused, you tried to talk to them. but they but they kept giggling to each other. they weren't telling you something, and you could tell.

"okay, what is up with the two of you?" you questioned, annoyance sinking it's way into your tone. your question fell onto deaf ears, as you were met with no words again.

"y/n," renee laughed. "do you want a gummy?" she asked. she pushed her hand out with a small orange gelatin square pinched between her fingers. uncertainty painted your features as you knit your eyebrows together in a furrowed expression. maybe it was an act of bravery, unbridled confidence, or even stupidity. but something implored you to eat it.

you reached out of the treat, "um, sure?" you agreed, taking the small square from renee and popping it into your mouth. the two of them giggled again as you chewed and swallowed. soon enough the were gone again, disappearing into the mass of bodies in the room. you wandered around a bit before your eyes began to ache ever so slightly and your train of thought evaporated.

you began to lose feeling in your toes, the effect slowing but surely climbing up your limbs up to the top of your head. you couldn't feel anything but the slow blinking of your eyes, until you felt everything with a shock. the smallest sensations were amplified, and the greater ones seemed numb.

you found yourself chasing feelings so they would echo in your nerves. the world around you seemed to blur and you stumbled around the party. eventually you found your friends in the backyard of the house, still laughing and kicking their feet in the pool. you came up behind them.

"hey guys, was there sumthin in that gummy?" your words were slow and slurred slightly but your message conveyed. you heard quiet disagreements, ultimately concluding to no. you knew that wasn't true, you were high. there was no doubt about it. the was cannabis in that gummy.

the calm numbness faded into sheer panic. things left out of control, the music was too loud, and every sensation echoed in your nervous system. it was all too much. you fumbled a bit for your phone, trying to dial your moms' number.

you couldn't focus on one thing; there were too many sensations. you tripped your way back into the house in an attempt to find the door and leave. everything became a distraction, and the hope of leaving began to slip away.

then, the feeling of hitting a wall echoed through your body. you steadied yourself against it. blinking slowly, you felt something grab your forearms and the muffled sound of speaking.

"woah, hey are you okay?" a voice spoke. your eyes wandered a bit across the floor, not fully comprehending the question. "did someone give you something?" the voice questioned again, trying to gain your attention. you finally looked up at the person who caught you. he was tall, with blonde curls and piercing blue eyes.
