Cale opened his eyes to see that he was floating around nothingness. He sighs, what kind of trouble did he get himself into this time?
He had been floating around for thirty minutes already, he was starting to get bored. Just then he saw a blinding white light flashing. When he opened his eyes, he could see he was inside a modern apartment. He looked around to see another redhead. Cale frowned looking at him. He looked so much like Cale Henituse but just older with a lot of scars.
The redhead man then noticed him and frowned in confusion. The other man was himself in his new body. The redhead man then called out to him, “Kim Rok Soo?”
Cale looked at the man with even more confusion, the man had just called him by his previous name, he connected the dots and something clicked in his brain, “Cale Henituse?”
The man sighs, “What is this? You’re back in your old body.”
“…what?” Cale asked in confusion. He had not noticed it before, but now that he has, he could see his body was full of scars. Scars that he remembers too well. Cale looked towards the man that he now knows must be his soul swapping partner, Kim Rok Soo. “Is that your body before you regressed?”
Kim Rok Soo then looked at his body and sighs, “I guess so.”
Cale walked around the apartment and found a full body mirror. He could see reddish-brown eyes and black hair looking back at him. He was back to his old body, the thirty six year old Kim Rok Soo. Cale could see from the mirror the other redhead walked towards him and stood in front of the mirror.
Kim Rok Soo was in disbelief. He really was in his old body. The forty year old Cale Henituse. He could see his face that is so mature and his body that is full of scars. He never thought he would ever see himself in this version of himself ever again. The body Cale uses is his body when he was eighteen anyways.
The room was quiet as the two were lost in thought. They then noticed another being standing behind them. When they turned around they both frowned. It was the God of Death.
“Hey there.”
“What’s the meaning of this?” Cale asked bluntly, he was pissed. Just when he was about to get his slacker life, the God of Death decides to mess with them.
“Relax. Let’s sit first, then I’ll explain.”
The God of Death said and turned his back, ignoring the glare from now the black haired man.
Once they were all seated on the sofa with Cale and Kim Rok Soo sitting together across the God of Death, three cups of tea appeared on the table. The God of Death took his tea and sipped it leisurely. He was trying to calm his nerves. Once he was done, he looked towards the two.
“I am sure you both remembered the contents of the deal. But there has been a little inconvenience…”
“What?” Cale glared at the God of Death, who raised both his hands as a sign of surrender.
“Now, now. It has nothing to do with me this time, I swear. It’s the God of Balance. And I have to say he is a jerk. No, an asshole. He is worse than me.”
Cale and Kim Rok Soo raised an eyebrow. They had never heard of this God. Then again there were so many Gods that they didn’t know about. Every time a God was involved nothing good always happens. They had an ominous feeling about where this conversation was going.
“He had been whining about both of you destroying the balance. Which, trust me, you did not. But angering a God is also not good for both your worlds. So I ask you two to go along with his wish, just this one time.”
