An Enthusiastic Journey

Puffy skies and clouds

Eggie's POV:

How strange? Why didn't anyone else hear it? We saw a mysterious stranger walk in the room. "Stay back!" I yelled. "It's me! Layla." Layla walks closer to us. Yep, it was definitely her. "What are you doing here?" I ask, "I heard a weird sound and woke up, and then I couldn't fall back asleep, so I thought maybe I'd get a glass of water."
"That's why I'm here!" Me and Kicho yelled at the same time, I gave her a nervous chuckle, and she glanced back. Later, we eventually see everyone wake up. The weird thing was.. it seemed to be at different timings, I was the first, Kicho second, Layla third, Cory fourth, and Kai was last. "So we all woke up because of a noise?" asked Kai. I shook my head, I couldn't sleep at all, and it was only two hours later, they girls fell asleep at 7 PM, surprisingly.
"So why did you wake up?" she asked. "I couldn't sleep." And it was true, I wasn't sleepy, well, until now..

Kicho's POV:
Eggie didn't hear anything if she was awake? Did no one care? Strange, huh. "Shouldn't we talk to Janis about this?" Cory finally spoke after a long moment of silence, I wasn't really expecting her to speak, but at least SOMEONE said something. "Yeah, we should, but Janis is probably asleep." I say. Suddenly, I heard a loud roar from the rooms above, and I quickly gasped. I heard loud marching footsteps coming from upstairs and getting closer to us. Kai beckoned to us, and we followed her, tip-toeing back to the bedroom. "I hear the footsteps getting closer, go to sleep, and if you can't go to sleep, then close your eyes and pretend to." Larish whispered quietly, and I was sleepy anyway, so I fell asleep. I still wonder what that strange roar was and who caused it.

The next day, I woke up and I had a good sleep. "Rise and shine, everyone! Today's adventure is gonna be fantastic, and I bet everyone's gonna like this one!" Janis is so loud, I just wanna go back to sleep, but I do have this question I must ask her about yesterday.

After we all got up from our beds, we went out of the room to see Janis standing there, as if nothing had happened.
"Today, we're gonna go search for your universe, except, I'll help you guys to find the unvierse, then we're gonna find The Milky Way! Any questions?" She said like as if looking for that galaxy were easy and normal for us. I was gonna ask her the question. "What was that roar yesterday? The one from.." Before I could finish, she quickly interrupted me with a nervous chuckle. "I meant about our adventure today." she responded. I'm not sure why she was avoiding that question. Who was that, and was there anyone else upstairs?

"What are we gonna use to launch ourselves up?" Cory asked, I mean, it's a good question unless they expect us to grow wings. "Giraffes! We thought about giving you a set of wings, but that means they would need battery and wouldn't work." Janis responded.
"And how exactly are the giraffes gonna be useful?" Kai asked, as if she was mostly thinking about what Janis told Layla. "They aren't like any other giraffes. They're different. They have wings, and they can survive in space. Cool, right?" Totally, as if.

The giraffes seem to look like our favourite colours, my giraffe was sapphire purple, I love sapphire purple. I sat on my giraffe, kinda worried if I'd fall off. I'd have expected a horse, honestly. "The one who finds The Milky Way first wins!" I just thought of a question, but the giraffes started to fly before I could ask. My giraffe had sapphire purple wings, I just realised that we couldn't survive in space, but as soon as we entered out of that world, we were.. fine? Either way, though, I'm glad we're fine. Apparently, the giraffes protect us, somehow? I'm not sure how to explain it, but what matters is that we're okay. As I was saying, my giraffe had sapphire purple wings glittering through the galaxy, like some sort of purple light. The rest of its body was glittering red sparks. Maybe this was our chance to get back to Earth..

Kai got to the galaxy first. She didn't go IN the galaxy, though. I tried getting close to Kai so I could tell her. "KAI! Go in the galaxy before it's too late. This is our ONLY way of getting back to Earth!" But Kai ignored me, so I had to push her in the galaxy. I saw Layla heading this way. "Layla, I need you to go in this galaxy. It's the only way we can get back to Earth." I say. "What about you?" she asked. "I'll go last so I can make sure every one of you goes in." Layla nods and goes in the galaxy. I see Eggie, her giraffe flying as fast as possible, but she was so fast that I couldn't even tell her to go in. She had already run in the galaxy, away like a spark. Maybe she was already thinking of this plan. Finally, I see Cory, her giraffe stopped flying as soon as she saw me. "Why aren't you going in?" Cory asked me. "I'm going in last, go in quickly. This is our chance to escape." Cory nods and goes in, I was so close to the galaxy, but my giraffe stopped flying."

I saw Janis flying towards me as her wings unleashed in front of me. She was flying as fast as she could. The galaxy seemed to get further now, and I was flying away. As soon as I almost entered, I felt a hand grab my foot, and suddenly I got teleported back to the world.

Suddenly, an unfamiliar man's voice spoke. "Sorry, but I can't let EVERYONE leave, and if it has to be you, then so be it. My wonderful assistant even helped me." I suppose that was the king.. that could explain that loud roar from yesterday. Janis seems to like guilty, but I don't even care.

Oh how I'll miss those puffy skies and clouds..
