Episode 6

Thunder cracked harder and harder, so went the electricity. The power cut was there too now but there wasn't grandma, she went to buy some new plants. She may have gotten  stuck somewhere because of the rain.

The first time Taehyung saw her, he saw her getting scared of the thunder. The night Malissa stayed here for the first time, she was shaking at the dining table for the sounds of thunder.

Where is she now? She might be scared of the dark too, I need to find her.

"Noona "

"Noona "

"Noona where are you ?"  He keeps screaming

Mallisa was hiding under the blanket of her bed, the thunders were getting louder making her more frightened. The sky cracking could be seen from the wind, the dark humid room was beyond creepy

"I- I am here, Tae. " her voice broke doing the same with his heart, breaking him

"Stay where you are, I am coming. " He says

She didn't say anything this time, just silently sobbed holding the blanket tight.

Footsteps getting louder, giving her a little ease. A shadow in the dark, she saw coming. The next thunder cast light and shadows on his face letting her know it's him. He came next to her, sitting by her.

He put his hands underneath the blanket, pulling he out by her shoulders. He hugged her ever so lightly, afraid to break her fragile being. Yet the grip was strong as if someone would pull her away from him.

Someone so strong he could be yet he was someone so weak, he didn't want her to protest but he was ready to leave if she said she didn't want his embrace

Flinching to every loud crack of thunder, the fear evident in her eyes. Fear enveloped her like a cukoon as she forgot when and where she was,

She didn't mind him hugging her, she was too lost in her own mind.

He rubbed small circles in her back to soothe her, whispering sweet comforting words

"Are you afraid of the dark? " He said slowly.

"It's okay, I am here. It's going to be okay. " He says

The whales muffled into hiccups, tears started to dry.

Her eyes still glimmered, red and puffy, her nose looking like Santa's favorite reindeer. Rudolph must be a cousin. She was looking so beautiful, so cute yet it broke his heart. Because she cried, what made her cry? This rain. But he can't hate it, this rain gave him to meet her.

"Why are you so afraid of the rain, it can't get to you. See, I am here, it can't get to you. "  He whispers

"The rain took away my mother from me " she say

"As long as I am here, no one can take anything away from you." He says

He could feel her body tensing, he held her tighter.

"I was 6 my parents were with me, we were going for a vacation. It's started to rain very badly, the whole road was dark. Then our car met an accident, my mother couldn't make out alive" She croaked. He understood how hard it was to talk about it.

"I understand you, it must be very hard for you. It will never be the same, but one day you'll be alright. The rain- it wouldn't be as scary. " His deep voice was somehow soothing.

Just then she remembered he too lost his parents, both at the same time. For what? For an accident that happened in a rainy day, he said all this himself in a live

"Tae, I'm sorry I- "

"There is no reason for you to say sorry, I'm here for you" he says

She tries to moves away, only to be held stronger

"Can we just stay like this, for a moment?" He asks

She says silent, then nods

As if on cue, he puts his head on her shoulder and for what feels like eternity they stay like this.

Until his grandmother comes home and they move away like on of them caught french plague
