A/N - This story would only be based on the anime and I've never read the manga nor know anything about it. I would probably create a new plot after the anime is finished.

Vampires  are the supernatural creatures of the night. As in traditional folklore, they are sensitive to the sun and are active during the night; however, in reality, sunlight only hurts their eyes and does not actually cause them any physical damage.

When killed, vampires will turn into sand. However Purebloods are an exception, as when they die, they instead shatter into shards of glass. The most effective way to kill any vampire is to cut off their head or stab their heart using an anti-vampire weapon. Blood tablets had been developed to take the place of actual blood feeding, despite having a bad taste. Vampires also have a blood-lust that can only be quenched by the blood of their beloved.

Vampires have existed for well over 10,000 years, first appearing when mankind's civilizations began to crumble. At one point, they waged a war against humans, during which Purebloods began turning humans into vampires. When the number of vampires began to increase, a monarchy was established to rule the vampire race, with the Kurans and the Shirogane as the royal family.

This story takes place in the prestigious Cross Academy, which is home to two distinct classes: The Day class, which applies to only humans, and the Night Class, which applies to only vampires, of which the day class is unaware. 

With the assistance of Kaname Kuran, Headmaster Kaien Cross founded Cross Academy under the influence of Juri Kuran's dream of having humans and vampires co-exist together. The fact that vampires are attending the Academy is a complete secret from the Day Class humans. 

They are not to know the existence of vampires, and if they do find out, their memories are erased on the spot. The existence of the vampires must be kept a secret, in Kaien Cross's mind, else humans would be too frightened to be near the Academy and animosity that would arise.

Shirogane Misaki, one of the pureblood family and one of the royal family, had decided to enroll in Cross Academy after waking up from her slumber. Being the only family member was hard to keep the bloodline going if she had died. Currently, she was standing in front of the famous Cross Academy.

She walked for a few minutes till she saw two figure waiting at the entrance. Assuming they're waiting for her arrival, she quickened her pace, her luggage moving in sync with her. Misaki could see a familiar tall male with silver hair and a shorter female beside him with brown hair.

She recognized them as Kiryu Zero and Kuran Yuki or in other words Cross Yuki. It was very noticeable and obvious that the hunter was irritated and maybe angry for the fact that he has to greet a vampire. 

Misaki's not sure if they were informed of her species being a vampire. A sigh left her mouth as she stood in front of the duo who haven't noticed her yet due to their bickering. 

"I don't see the point of me being here!" He yelled at the girl who wouldn't stop nagging him. "The headmaster told us that the new student is a very important person! It's our job to make them feel welcomed!" Yuki argued back and starting hitting him on his arm repeatedly.

"It's probably another one of those blood suckers." A look of disgust appeared on his face and as he was about to say more insults, he finally noticed the female that was standing in front of them waiting for them to finish bickering. 

"I assume you are ready to escort me to the headmaster's office?" Mitsuki gave them smile as she noticed Yuki body stiffened. Yuki felt embarrassed that she hadn't noticed the female until now.
