Love me like you love cats

Prologue

I was born in a rich family, and when my parents were expecting a daughter they were not happy. They wanted a boy they wanted a heir to the family not me and they made it so clearly, so after many daughters later they finally had a boy.

They favourited my brother so much they would purposely abandoned me and my 3 sisters and neglect us hoping that we leave the house, and they did. And as the oldest I did nothing to make them stay, I let them go I let them leave me alone with my parents who gives 0 fucks about me.

But that's fine I'll find someone who'll care for me, who'll give me the attention and love I didn't receive as a child.

One day I was out playing I found a cat, it had white fur along with orange spots and two different coloured eyes. I had never seen a cat up until I was 9 I was captivated by his cute ears, his tail, his little paws and the little noise he makes. That day I took him with me and I named him Akihiko.

Since that day I've been bringing homeless cats home, I can't bare the thought of them being left in the streets all alone hungry thirsty lonely and cold. I became really good at taking care of cats and even helped a few pregnant cats give birth.

All we had were each others, all the cats I rescued would cuddle up to me to sleep, they're the reason why I was able to continue to stay in the house because without my family I wouldn't be able to feed these cats.

They were my everything.

At 14 my parents decided I need to marry a rich man so they introduced me to my first love Kaito, on our first date he showed me how much he cared for me, he showed me that I was worth something, he showed me the affection that I had been desperately craving for he gave me hope that I could leave my family and start a new life.

But after a week he decided that he didn't want to marry me.

I followed behind the man I adore, admiring him while I trail behind him, no matter how much he ignores me how cold he is to me how angry he gets at me for little things. I could never leave him, when we first met he showed me attention and affection and I've held onto it every since.

He suddenly turned around "(Name) let's part ways, we're not meant for each other and to be honest I've lost interest in you I met someone better than you." He said seriously and looked straight at me

'Huh? No no this can't happen' "W-what please don't I-i need you I want to be close to you please!Don't leave me for someone else I'll change I can't have you leaving me for someone else"I pleaded as I held my heart

My words fell on deaf ears he turned his head and look around before opening his mouth once again "So what you could do your makeup, so what you have good looks, you're like lipstick on a pig. You're stupid you're annoying you're immature I'm sick of you, let's forget about each other." He finished and left me.

Never had I seen him again or heard of him until one day I was out feeding some homeless cats.

I heard some old ladies talked about him "Hey have you heard that old man's son Kaito" I eyebrows sparkled up upon hearing his name and listened to their conversation closely. "Oh no I heard he died from a demon!" I was confused 'demons? I thought they don't exist?' I was about to confront them about it before my father dragged me away saying I have another man asking me for my hands in marriage.

And then I met my second love Hinata, he was cold at first but started warming up to me in few days, I loved the careless nature in him, he told me how he had been watching me from afar. He had beautiful brown hair he had green eyes, he would shower me with love and would spoil me with gifts.
