Barbara watched as Jason and Briar both jumped from the Belfry, respectively using a grappling hook and webbing. It was odd she supposed, the little girl she knew Briar had been was never going to be the same. She'd be more like her. Less naïve about the wrongs that went on. She'd see firsthand the sort of people that caused hurt and violence, but she would be safe with Jason. He had grown up in this world after all. He'd be the one who understood the trusting nature Briar still had. And maybe by the end of all this she'd still have it. The hope held in Barbara's heart was desperate for that to remain true.

Nimble feet crawled over a water tower as Barbara focused in on the criminals below her. They were too busy hot-wiring a car to notice the figure crouching above them. She shook her head unimpressed as she leapted to the top of the streetlamp. Dropping down and quietly snuffing one out. His body laid limp on the floor as she grappled his partner in crime, "get some rest." She sat them next to each other before whipping her head to the sound of a distressed citizen.

Four freaks: one on watch, the others harassing the woman with baseball bats. Barbara wrapped her tonfa around the watchman, constricting his air till he passed out. She wrenched one's hands away from the civilian and threw him over her shoulder. Not giving them a moment before throwing a punch to the next one. "Got us a Batgirl!" They announced as if the watchman was conscious to hear it. She kicked one in the stomach before leaping back to dodge an incoming bat. The wind of it whistling in her ears as she jabbed her first target and moved on to the final one.

Her leg met the freak's wrist causing them to drop their weapon. It left them open for Barbara to kick them in the back of the neck into the ground in one final swoop. Her hands drifted across their bodies as she searched for any clues. But before she could put the puzzle pieces together Alfred's voice came through her comm.

"Belfry here. Happy to report we're now fully operational. Before you head back though..."

"We got something to do, Belfry?" She mused using her grappling hook to launch her into the air and onto a nearby rooftop.

"The hard drive from Langstrom's lab requires a bio-decryption key."

Her body twisted in the air as the light from the Gotham city shopping center reflected off her suit. Her face pensive, "Bio-decryption, that definitely tracks with what Red Hood found in the lab. I guess I'm heading to the GPCD morgue, huh?"

"Indeed. With nights and Gotham, as they are, it should be quiet at the station. Relatively..."

"Don't worry, I know my way around." Barbra hummed in amusement before coming across some mobsters trying to break into a building. Things proceeded like they always did. Take out the stragglers and watchmen and work your way in. So, she moved in and took out the first one underneath the light of the streetlamp and crept over to the next and quietly snuffed him out too. The last two were so focused on breaking in that putting them to sleep was no challenge at all. Honestly, she broke more of a sweat training Briar. She smiled as she plucked up more clues to hopefully other crimes.

Honestly the streets were a mess. She came across more freaks, trying to break into the place, not even a block away. So, she jumped across from building to building. Once more snuffing out the one on the farthest left and taking out the rest of them. It was a mess. She came across more freaks, trying to break into an ATM, not even a block away, so she leapt from the building, once more from the one on the farthest left, and then taking out the jittery one in the middle. The one on the right was oblivious to her sneaking up from behind, and she snuffed that one out too, and of course, the one that had been active in breaking into the place was knocked out all before a minute had passed.
