I thought I had missed my bus because I woke up late, but fortunately, my bus was also running late. "Thank God," I muttered under my breath as I spotted it coming down the street.

Missing it would have meant changing two buses and waiting forever at each stop. Relieved, I hopped on and headed straight for my favorite window seat.

Sliding into the familiar spot, I sighed contentedly and put on my earphones. As the music started playing, the tension of the morning slowly melted away. The window seat and my playlist had become my little sanctuary, a place where I could find calm and gather my thoughts before the day began.

A fellow passenger, noticing my relaxed mood smiled

"Looks like you caught it just in time, huh?"

"Yeah, just barely," I  laughed. "This seat and my music are lifesavers."

She nodded knowingly.

While this bus continued its journey, I gazed out the window, letting the passing scenery blur into a comforting backdrop. It reminded me that sometimes, it's the small things, like a window seat and a good song...that make all the difference.

As the bus rolled to a stop at the college, I stepped off and began walking towards the entrance.

Suddenly, my breath caught in my throat. Someone grabbed my hand, pulling me back with such force that I stumbled, colliding into a firm chest.

I looked up, my heart racing, only to find myself staring into Ahaan's eyes. Disappointment flickered through me; I had hoped it was someone else. I stepped back quickly, placing a hand over my racing heart, trying to steady my breath.

"What the... Ahaan! You scared me," I exclaimed, my voice shaky.

He pointed to a large stone in my path, a small smile playing on his lips. "I just saved you from tripping over that rock. You're welcome."

I blushed, feeling embarrassed. "Oh, thanks. I didn't see it."

"No problem. You know, we both missed it," he replied with a laugh, making me relax a bit. We started walking towards the college together.
