Shadowed Secrets - (Legacy Academy Spinnoff)

Chapter 2

"The schools system works like a wolf pack. We have the alpha's, Beta's, and Omegas. The school can only have up to five alpha's, ten beta's, and the rest are omegas. Since you've just started your an Omega. You will have to work your way up to get to the top."

"What are you?"I ask.

"See this pin?" She points to the pin on her vest that had a cursive 3 3/3 on it. That means I'm a higher ranking Omega. Since the Omega group is so big they separate us into three sections."

"How do you get up?" I ask.

"Every once a month there is a vote, then the teachers will also put in their opinions. Then there is the 'watcher'. They are chose at random. They watch to give their one third of a vote on who goes to what section. The best way to go up is to be noticed. Be involved. And of course ranks come with their perks."

We turn, "so down that hall is the grub hall, I know weird name. But anyways, that's the way to the library." We continue to walk. "This way is the nurse and the office."

We walk up a set of stairs, "that's the hall where chemistry or any science related classrooms are, and some English... that way is the geometry/history room... be careful for our resident history teacher, he's a creep. And annoying" Diora explains. "Over all, the best advice someone could give you in this school is to know your rank. Trust me, I'm glad I knew it when I first started... you'll get what I'm saying soon."

We continued to tour though the school was she showed me where the rest of the classrooms were.

Soon Diora looked down to her watch, "time for lunch in three... two... one..." she held up her hand and the bell wrung.

Soon as if someone pressed a bottom the halls were filled with students in uniforms. They moved in perfect motion, kids staying to the right or left of the hall to make sure the flow stayed focused.

Me and Diora walked back to the grub hall that was literally already packed. Different styles of tables and chairs lined the large room. There were booths that had dark red or black leather seats with wood framing. There were also long rectangular tables that fit eight people, or square tables for four.

There was a long table of foods, one long line of kids with an associate who took money at the end.  Diora and I joined the line and got food. I got only a salad since I wasn't too hungry, with bacon, croutons, some pistachios, and a few other fun things.

Diora then lead me to a table that already had no one sitting there. We sat and ate, where she explained the latest gossip and activities. She explained the dinfrent sport choices and activities that the school hosts. Like the annual hiking trail ride.

That's when the whole room went silent and turned to the doors.
