I walked all the way to Miranda's house and I leaned against the door way and knocked

My hair was curly and sticky and I had blood coming from my nose and mouth and the cuts on my face

Then the door opened and I saw Miranda

Oh my god. She said and pulled me inside and over to the stairs

Gentle. I said and sat down on the stairs

What happened? She asked

My dad, pushed my limit, we are getting evicted because he used the rent money to buy more whiskey and I yelled and this is what I got. I said

Go up to my room I'll be there in a minute, take off your clothes you smell like a bar. She said

Thank you. I said and she hit my leg softly

Then I went upstairs and took my clothes off until I was in my boxers and I sat on her bed

I started swinging my legs while I waited and then she walked in

I got an ice pack and rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs and bandaids then some wine. She said

For what? I asked

For you this is gonna sting. She said and after like twenty minutes she was done cleaning my cuts and she was now holding the ice pack to my ribs

Thanks. I said

Always. She said and focused on the ice pack

Then I kissed her

She kissed me back

I grabbed the ice pack and set it on the bed and I kissed her more

Me and Miranda are laying on her bed and she has her head on my chest and she is holding the ice pack to my ribs while I am rubbing her back

I'm gonna ask my mom if you can stay with us. She said

I want to. She said and she kissed me again

I love you too. She said and laid her head back down on my chest
