Aliyah's POV

The morning sun painted the city in vibrant colours as I stepped out with my camera.

Photography is my passion, my escape from the chaos of life. Today felt different, as if something is about to change.

Among the rush of people, I noticed Reyansh, buried in his books yet radiating warmth.

I walked over to him and said, "Hey why are you studying in paris? We are literally here to have fun.”

“Good morning to you too sunshine.” He said, smiling.

“Have you eaten at least? You look really tired and its barely been 2 hours since the sun came up. Were you up all night?” I said, worried that he over worked himself.

“I had coffee in the morning, and no I did not stay up all night. My exams are almost
here so I was practicing a few sums but I'm stuck on this one.” He said showing me his book and laptop.

I took a look through what he had done and sat next to him to try and solve it. I was trying so hard to focus but I could feel his breath on me as I worked through the sum.

I glanced over to see him looking at me smiling with pride. Once I was finally done I turned back only to see our faces inches away from each other.

I had the urge to just kiss him but I didn't. We were in a public place full of people and it might become awkward.

I cleared my throat and said, “You forgot to add the profit here. Now it should balance.”

He took a look at what I had done and then said,“You know what I like the most about
you, sunshine? You’re so smart, capable and strong. You genuinely inspire me.”

I felt my cheeks flush. No one had ever said such nice things to me before.

I decided to pull his leg a little, “oh really? I thought your most favourite thing about me was my pretty face.”

He threw his head back and laughed, Oh how I would love to capture his laugh on video some day, I would re play it forever.

I got up and started packing up his things while saying “Enough studying for now. Come with me to the riverside na. I want to take a few pictures, I haven't taken pictures on my camera since that day on the beach.”

He agreed and we made our way to the river. It was a walkable distance from our hotel so we reached in about 5 minutes.

I switched on my camera and went to the last picture I had taken, it was a habit of
mine to check the last photo before starting a shoot.

To my surprise it was the picture of Reyansh that I had taken while at the beach.

Oh God this is embarrassing.

I tried hiding it from him but it was too late he had seen it already. I turned away so that he couldn't see my face.

He let out a soft giggle and I started shooting. I got so lost in my own world that I didn't realise I was in the middle of the sidewalk and people were glaring at me angrily.
