Safe House

Later on that night I ended up at a red brick house.With a black BMW and Toyota in the drive through. All the lights were out so I knew everyone was sleep. Considering it was maybe 2 am. I remember coming here a lot to hang out with my friend.Walking over to a big tree. There on the big oak tree still hung the wooden swing we built. I walked around to the other side of the tree. Putting my finger over the sloppy carvings. Closing my eyes trying to remember back to that day. And then opening my eyes to read the carvings that read 'Tati and Amber bffs till the end'.

Flash back
"Tati come get me" yelled a soft voice that belonged to a little girl named Amber. Walking quietly up to the oak tree I knew she was hiding there because that was her favorite hiding place. "Boo" I whispered "Ahh..." she scream falling on the floor laughing " How did you find me Tati were you peeking again.. That's cheating im going to tell on you if you do it again".

Rolling my eyes at her I Said "How am I cheating if you always pick the same hiding place". She then just Sat there looking at th ground saying "oh". Changing the subject she said "This could be our tree" pointing at it then pulling a knife out her pocket. " Where did you get that Amber?" I asked backing away. "From the kitchen, it's okay as long as I put it back before my mom notices it's gone" she said. She was always the bad one out of us two "okay what are we going to do?" I asked. "Carve are names into the tree" she said in a duh tone.

About 5-10 minutes later carved on the tree in sloppy hand writing was 'Tati and Amber bffs till the end'. "There..perfect" she said turning towards me "Promise we'll always be bffs?" she asked with a big smile on her face. "Always" I Said hugging her and she hugging me back but much tighter. "Okay...okay you can let go". I said then she let go and I sucked in some air breathing hard. "Sorry Tati are you okay?" she asked patting my back. "Yeah im much better now"

"Kids come inside lunch is ready" yelled Amber's mom. "Race you to the house" I said starting to run "hey you cheated wait for me" she said.

Backing up away from the tree at a far enough distance. I started into a sprint and jumped up on to a branch. Swinging my way on the branch into a sitting postition I started to crawl to a window on the side of the house. Checking to see if it was unlocked which it wasn't. I looked in the room to see a girl with long black hair that stoped at her waist laying asleep on a king sized bed. I started tapping on the window and soon she woke up looking around for the noise. But then spotted me outside her window with wide eyes with her mouth hanging open. Which then formed a big smile she then started walking to the window.

Unlocking it quickly she pulled me into a big huge squeezing me tightly. "Well I'm happy to see you to" I whispered "I'm so happy to see you where have you been?" she asked squeezing my cheeks. Prying her hands off my face I said " I been here and there" walking around her room. "Oh my gosh have you been crying?" she asked looking into my eyes which must have been red. Closing my eyes trying not to think of devin "Can we talk tomorrow I'm really tired" I said. "Fine but you better tell me everything" she said pointing her index finger at me then turing around to her closet. Pulling out purple short shorts and a black tank top "Here" she said."Thanks" I said quickly before turning out the door.

I then walked out the room to the bathroom which was down the hall. Passing some rooms and looking around everything still looked the same. She still had family pictures on the wall but one in particular got my eye. Wow I thought with my mouth open there on the wall was a tall Brown eye boy with black hair. Staring right at me who was that he was standing next to alicia mom with a big smile showing his white teeth he. Did have Amber mom eyes oh my..wait was that Ethan. Amber older brother got way cuter since I saw him.
