After RJ & I talked, he took me out to eat to Cheddars'. Then dropped me off, I went straight into my room. Once i got in my room. I texted Trish & told her about Quinton & our convo. Then I began thinking about Jada & i couldn't help but wonder. I opened my bookbag & pulled her journal out. I took the key from around my neck, unlocked it & began to read.
Dear Diary,
I'm 13 & I'm in love. I saw him today. I don't even know his name but the moment I saw those blue eyes. I knew he would be mine. Oh lord, I'm Jada Gomez. I have two sisters. Ambre & Chole. Ambre the oldest, she 17. Chole the baby & she 11. But our mom a crackhead & never around, so between Uncle Joe & Grandma Jeanne, we basically raising ourselves. But to me, Im the momma to Chole & me. Ambre always in the wind fucking off with lame ass nighas. Uncle Joe is a straight predator. He used to touch on Ambre alot when i was younger. I never quite understood until i turned 6 & his attention shifted to me. At first it was just touching & kisses. When i noticed him trying to do the same with Chole. I decided to try drastic measures to keep him away from Chole. So I offered myself fully to him when i was 10. It wasal a painful experience, but it didn't last long anyhow. It kept him away from Chole, so I was just happy i could spare her those feelings. I love my little sister with everything in me. & I'd do anything for her! Ambre on the other hand i couldn't stand. She was old enough where she could be doing more to help us escape this harsh reality we called life. But she was too busy fucking nighas, like the guy i was in love with. I seen her throwing her herself on him every time she walks us to the bus stop. I heard her talking to Lisa hoe ass about she wanted him to be her new daddy. I thought it was discussing how she referred to Uncle Joe as daddy. He tried to make me call him that during sex and refused. He beat me so bad that night, i couldn't show my face around for two weeks.
"Royal?" I heard Remy calling. I was still a little angry with her, especially after everything that RJ told me. I cant believe she was cheating on Pops, but at the same time, Ik he didnt treat her right. But to betray Pops with his own son though was trifling. "YES", I said as i walked out my room in search of her. "You wanna go out for dinner or just order pizza or Chinese? " she asked while i looked at her blankly. I dont know why i hadn't noticed it before she & I look nothing alike. She was beautiful without a doubt, but she wasn't Jada. She wasnt my mom. "I'll order myself something. You & Pop should go out though, I'll invite Trish over & if i need something I'll call RJ." I told her. I noticed at the mention of RJ, she started to glow & got gittery. Smh how could have i not known. "Uh, baby girl i doubt your father wants to go anywhere." She spoke so sadly.
"I'll go talk to him for you" i said & i heard her say thanks before i walked up the stairs to their room. I knocked twice & he told me to come in. I walked in & he was sitting up in bed watching sports center. I rolled my eyes at the tv & knew this conversation was probably pointless. "Pop, you need to take Remy out. I mean yall never do anything anymore. Don't lose her because of your own selfishness & pride." I said sternly making complete eye contact & touching his arm. A trick Remy taught me when i was little to get what i wanted. He looked at me puzzled for a min. "Since when do you call your mother Remy?" He said as he chuckled a little bit. Since i found out you & her both been lying to me. Ugh, i hated playing cool, but i promised RJ. "Pop you're missing the point." "Fine tell your mother to get dressed . Royal don't call her by her name again, understand?" He said walking off to his closet. I dont know how much longer i can keep this up. How dare he tell me not to call her Remy when he knows she is not my mother! Asshole.
I told Remy what he said & it shocked her, but she continued to go get dressed. A few mins after they left, I went into their room & began searching. I found condoms in Pop's drawer & wondered why he had them, because its wasnt for Remy. She is allergic to latex. I dug deeper & found alot of bank statements along with account & routing numbers. JACKPOT! I jotted them down. I kept looked through all of their things. Mainly Pops i wanted to know what else they were keeping from me, then i stumbled upon a prison visitors pass. Was he still talking to Sandra after what she did?
I went into his closet & went straight to his safe. I already knew the combination, so once i opened it, i ransacked everything. I went to his office & ran copies of everything incriminating. I went back to his closet & straighten everything up & noticed a very a manilla folder. I took it out & looked at the contents. They were pictures of him and two girls. One was a woman who looked kinda of like Chole & Jada, i looked on the back & it read Ambre & Gracie. I kept digging & found a death certificate with Ambre's name, Gracie & a man name Ahmad all died the same day. Why would he have these? As i put everything back in its right place, i noticed something i never had before, a secret compart behind his safe. It was a purple lock on the flap that looked like may have been a door. I looked at it closely & ran back to my room & grabbed the key out of my Mom's diary. I got back to the closet & put the key into Pops lock & it immediately unlocked. Weird. I opened the flap & sure enough it was a door but required a 4 digit password. I thought long & hard. I tried my birthday & it didn't work. Then i heard a noise outside. I quickly put the lock back. Got the key & closed the safe & made sure everything was back in place. I walked down stairs & heard a knock at the door.
I walked to the door & it was only a package there. I slowly opened the door & grabbed the package, before locking the door as quickly as possible. I opened the package & it read I'm watching you. I want whats rightfully mines. I got scared & called the only person i could trust.... RJ.
