chapter 9

Remember Alexander?

Eliana POV:

I ran downstairs and the first thing I saw was my little girl dead on the floor

I ran over and picked up her cold body I begged and pleaded for her to wake up.

But there was no response..

I Lost my pride and joy.

The only thing that kept me going throughout the day

"Elana"

She was all I had.

"Elana!"

End of dream.

I woke up drenched with sweat I wiped my eye because I felt tears rolling down my face.

I looked up to see Alessandro looking worried standing above me.

"Hey are you ok?"

I nodded and gave a weak smile but he didn't look convinced.

"My mother always taught me you give something you get something so I'm going to tell you about my past before high school and you have to tell me why you've been so bothered deal?"

I thought about it and then nodded.

I knew he was serious because he never spoke badly about his mother.

And I know he would never lie on her name.

He took a deep breath and then started speaking.

"When I was a kid my dad was really abusive I did 24/7 training since I was able to walk and I had been to the emergency room too many times before my 4th birthday"

He paused and I could see that this was hard for him to talk about because of the look in his eyes.

"My mother always tried to stick up for me but she only ended up getting herself hurt so I toughened up I tried to protect her,things up better when I got good at  training but after he left me I started losing"

He paused again this time there was an endless sadness in his eyes and also something else.

I couldn't identify the emotion.

"But my mother saw that she comforted me and tried to help me when my father saw that killed her in front of me"

And there it was all the sadness was gone all I saw was hatred.

Pure angry hatred.

"After that I never showed anyone any emotion the day I turned 18 I decided to go to college and I started dating you"

" I never wanted to get to attached but it was hard, you were and still are everything I ever wanted"

That made me smile.

"But when you left I dropped out of college and immediately just took over the mafia but then the first thing I did was kill My Father"

There was a sudden uneasy silence.

"Now it's your turn"

I sat there and looked at him still stunned from the information he just told me.

Then I cleared my throat and started

"It's not really much about my life I grew up in a nice neighborhood I had friends I had a dog went to college met you got pregnant dropped out moved you found us and now I'm here"

Then I was about to stop when I suddenly remembered something.

"My mom!"

I thought I saw his expression changed to one of guilt and surprise but that was probably just my imagination.
