Optimus found the kids outside with the minicons, "Children, minicons, what are you up to?"

Coby waved at him in greeting, "Oh, hey Optimus."

Jolt grinned excited, "We were trying to figure out a few things."

Optimus blinked, "Is everything alright?"

Lori fidgeted, "Well, depends on your definition of alright."

Optimus stared at them, "Meaning?"

Bud scratched his arm, "Our source of magic was cut off while we were on Velocitron."

Optimus became alarmed, "What? Isn't that bad for you?"

Coby placated him, "It could have been but luckily Lord Primus was kind enough to become an alternative source for us."

Optimus was completely floored, "Lord Primus did that?"

Lori smiled brightly, "Yes, he is very kind and patient. I like him a lot."

Optimus nodded smiling, "That he is, I must confess I am surprised by this. Have you been in contact with Lord Primus again?"

Bud shook his head, "Not after the initial contact. I think he has his plate full with the black hole."

Optimus sighed, "Perhaps you are right."

Coby, "Well, that's what is going on with us. Oh and now that we have a different power source we need to start from scratch too. Figure out what works best for us."

Lori, "Back to the basics though the base is not that different then before just requires tweaking here and there."

Bud, "Yeah, check this out Optimus."

Optimus watched as Bud took a container and held his hand over it while muttering an incantation that sounded very familiar. The container started to fill with a bright blue shimmering liquid which surprised Optimus quite a bit. Bud proudly presented the container to the Leader of the Autobots who stared at it then decided to taste it. Optimus tried it a bit and his optics widened at the sweet and warm taste he was getting from the liquid. Bud looked really proud especially when he saw the pleased expression on Optimus's face.

Bud, "Well? What do you think?"

Optimus, "I have not had retro - grade Energon since I was a youngling. This is well made."

Coby grinned, "Yeah, our abilities now lean towards Cybertronian matter instead of Earth matter. We are not complaining though."

Lori, "Yes, especially if it means we can help you, we will."

Scourge, "There you are my dear Conjunx and children, you are here too with the minicons."

Jolt chuckled, "Scourge, hello to you too."

Lori, "We were just figuring some things out. A lot has happened lately."

Optimus, "Indeed, just be careful children and if you need help, ask one of us."

Coby, "We will."

Scourge was eyeing them, "Is the drawing on the floor part of you figuring things out?"

Lori got up enthusiastically, "Yes, let me explain. Look here, this inner circle is the base and the second circle after that holds the incantation. The third one is the gateway for when you activate the circle and the fourth one is to concentrate the energy safely."
