Their suspicions were confirmed when they received word from their spies in Montclair. King Harold had been secretly amassing troops near Veridale's border, preparing for a potential invasion. His proposal was merely a distraction, a way to buy time.

Preparations for a possible conflict intensified. Troops were mobilized, fortifications strengthened, and strategies devised. Alexander and Elara worked tirelessly, their bond growing even stronger as they faced this new challenge together.

As tensions mounted, King Harold made his move. His troops crossed into Veridale, expecting to catch the kingdom off guard. But Alexander and Elara, with their allies, were ready. In a decisive battle near the border, Veridale's forces, bolstered by Eldoria’s support, repelled the invaders.
