Ren and Clementine hug Kenny, he hugs them back as the rest of the group watch in amazed to see their reunite. They separated and Kenny kneel down to Ren and clementine level
Kenny: i miss you two, so much
Clementine: we miss you too
Ren: More than you ever know
Kenny looked at Ren and Clementine group: These people with y'all?
Ren and Clem nod and Kenny stand up: We can talk inside
Man 1: great, i just started dinner
Calos looked at his daughter and sighs: Are you sure you don't mind?
??: We don't mind. Please come in
The group along with Kenny group walked, heading to the door to the ski lounge, A man open the door for Ren and Clementine, their eyes were in amazed to see Christmas tree and lights around the place
Ren thoughts: Oh, Christmas is almost here, so is my birthday
Man: Kenny and Sarita have been staying with us for several weeks after winter showed up. Used to be a ski lodge, obviously, so we have plenty of food. And believe it or not, we still get some power from that wind turbine
They walked a bit as the man talking: We tent to keep most the lights off at night to avoid drawing attention
As he kept talking, Kenya got in front of Ren and Clementine, mocking the guy. Clementine softly giggles and Ren laughs a bit. The man turn around looking at Kenny and the kids
Man: What's funny?
Kenny: Oh nothin. Walt
He got next to Walter: Walter here is one smart son of a bitch. Makes a mean can of beans too
Walter: Well, why don't you two catch up while i get started with the food
Kenny walked first as Ren and Clementine followed, they sat at the couch opposite of the fire.
Kenny: Still wearing this dirty old thing huh? And..
Kenny noticed the Gauntlets: where did you get those Gauntlets, Ren?
Ren: I got them underground. It was from the company that.. Well, kidnapped us ..
Clementine: how did you manage to survive the nuke?
Kenny: After I told Kenny and the ladies to find you two, I ran out but the lights were cut off and the alarm set. I heard people screaming and guns firing. I fight my own way out.... Ya know, i half expected to see lee and other gals walk up next to you two. You guys were little three peas in a pod
Kenny saw Clementine and Ren looked down in sad
Kenny: Oh shit, i didn't mean to... it's just hard not to think about it, you know?
Ren was about to speak but clem spoke up
Clem: I got him killed
Ren and Kenny eyes widen
Kenny: what?
Ren: Clem?
Clem started to tear up: it was my fault, if i hadn't spoken to that person through the walkie talkie. Omid and Lee would be alive and Ren wouldn't have been taken
Ren hugged her from behind: clem.. Its wasn't your fault
Kenny: Aw, darlin, don't say that. I know that ain't true. He made a choice, same as the rest of us. He's one tough son of a bitch
Clementine nods at Kenny
Ren: he sure is.
Ren looked around and saw
A woman walked to Carlos and said: Carlos right? Mind if I steal your daughter for a secret mission?
Kenny: that beautiful woman over there named Sarita, she helped me out from that place before Saravana got nuke.
He sigh: damn ain't i lucky
Clementine: How did she help you?
Kenny: Well, she works for the people who kidnapped us, she saw me fighting for my life. After we got in a safe place, she told me she have a mission to find the weapon and destroy it
Ren eyes widen
Clementine: weapon? What kind of weapon?
Kenny: I think the name was Project Ren. it break out and she still searching for it
Clem looks at Ren and he looked at her, then Ren saw Sarita and others going to the left side, he looked at Kenny: i'm going to help Sarah and others
Kenny: alright bud
Ren smile and stand up, he walked to the stairs but he stop
Ren's thoughts: Kenny's girlfriend knows about me.. How dangerous I am.. Maybe if i could talk to her and say i'm not dangerous... wait.. I shouldn't say that.. Damn it..
He reached up and saw Carlos, Rebecca and Alvin were whispering about something, Ren get close and heard their convection
Alvin: It's been a week, man. We gotta be outta the woods
Carlos: We can't be sure. They might be tracking us
Ren spoke: Do they ninjas? They can do that and lurk in the dark
Carlos: Yes, but they are worse than ninjas Carter
Ren was curious: How dangerous is he?
Carlos looks at Ren: Dangerous than those runners
He looked at Alvin: We can not take any chances. We leave at dawn
Rebecca: But we're safe here for tonight, right?
No one answers but Ren notices the fear from her voice. Carlos looked at Ren and said
Carlos: Ren, can I talk to you?
Ren looked at Carlos: Uh..okay
Carlos walked and Ren follows, they walked downstairs but they stop at the middle of the stairs
Carlos: I realised that kids like yourself have known what out there is, like how we don't
Ren: yeah?
Carlos: so.. I want you to teach sarah about survival
Ren: Wait, why me and not you? You're her father so it's wise for the parent to teach their kid
Carlos: Luke told me what you said at the bridge, you are willingly to teach Sarah so im giving you permission and..
Ren stayed silent
Carlos: if something bad happens to me, i want you to take care of Sarah, she needs Clementine and You around her, Please, do this for me
Ren sigh: Okay.. but im doing this for her, i'll take care of Sarah for you
Carlos: thank you, Ren
Suddenly the lights have shut down and bullets started firing
