Convincing their parents for marriage was no easy task, but Aaransh and Geetanjali were determined to make it happen. They knew they had the support of Ayaansh and Niharika, who played crucial roles in helping their parents understand and accept their love.
Sitting in the cozy living room of the Khanna family home, Aaransh took a deep breath and began. "Mom, Dad, there's something important I need to talk to you about."
His mother looked up from her book, her eyes curious. "What is it, Aaransh?"
Aaransh glanced at Geetanjali, who gave him an encouraging nod. "I love Geetanjali, and I want to marry her."
Aaransh's father raised an eyebrow. "Marriage? This is sudden. Have you thought this through?"
Ayaansh stepped in, his tone supportive. "Dad, Aaransh and Geetanjali have been together for years now. I've seen how happy they make each other. Geetanjali is a wonderful person."
Niharika added, "She really is, Mom. She's kind, smart, and she loves Aaransh deeply. They belong together."
Aaransh's mother looked thoughtful. "We've always trusted your judgment, Aaransh. If you're sure about this, then we support you. But there is a significant age difference and she is already an established doctor, which might affect things."
His father nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. "Yes, son. We trust you. If Geetanjali makes you happy, then we welcome her into our family. But remember, marriages with such differences require extra understanding and patience."
Next, Geetanjali had to convince her parents. She decided to visit them alone, feeling confident that she could manage the conversation.
As she sat in the warm and inviting living room, her parents exchanged curious glances. "What brings you here today, Geetanjali?" her father asked.
Geetanjali took a deep breath. "Mom, Dad, I love Aaransh, and we want to get married."
Her mother's eyes widened. "Married? Geetanjali, this is a big decision. We've seen your previous engagement fall through, and we're worried."
Geetanjali's father added, "Also, Aaransh is younger than you, and you are a successful doctor. Sometimes, men don't handle it well when their wives earn more or receive more respect."
Before Geetanjali could respond, Aaransh, who had just arrived, overheard the conversation and stepped in. "Sir, Ma'am, I love Geetanjali more than anything. I promise to support her in every way. Her success is my success. I would be the happiest to see her achieve all her dreams."
Geetanjali's mother looked at him, surprised by his words. "You truly feel that way?"
Aaransh nodded earnestly. "Yes, I do. Geetanjali's happiness means everything to me. I want to be there for her, through every success and every challenge."
Geetanjali's father looked at her, then at Aaransh, and sighed. "We've always wanted the best for our daughter. If Aaransh makes you happy, then he has our blessing."
Her mother smiled warmly. "We can see how much you care for each other. You have our blessing."
With both families' blessings, the two families decided to meet and formalize the engagement. They gathered at a charming restaurant, where the atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation.
As the two families mingled and got to know each other better, the love and support for Aaransh and Geetanjali were palpable. Their parents exchanged stories, shared laughs, and bonded over their shared happiness for their children.
Aaransh's father raised a toast. "To Aaransh and Geetanjali, may your journey together be filled with love, joy, and countless beautiful moments."
Geetanjali's mother added, "We are so happy to welcome Aaransh into our family. Here's to a wonderful future for you both."
