Chapter 9

Sarah's P.O.V.
Is been a week since we went on to the con and me and jack haven't spent much time together. Sally just got sick and I've had nothing to do. I lay on the couch bored to death. I get a call. I sigh and answer it. "Hey Sarah what you doing today?" They ask. It was jack. "Nothing." I say laying on my bed. "Do you want to go swimming?" He asks. "Sure. I'll get ready." I says getting up from the bed and to the bathroom. "Awesome. I'll come over in a few minutes." He says. "Ok." I says before hanging up. I sigh then I change into my swim suit. I put on my pink cover and I grab my blue/green towel. After a bit there was a knock at the door. I open it and jack had his swim Suit on. I smile at him because it was nice to see him again. We head down to the pool. After about an hour of swimming it starts to storm. I jump a little when the thunder roles over. We get out of the pool and the thunder roared again then I stiffen not wanting to move. Soon I fell a towel on my shoulders. "Sarah are you scared of the thunder?" Jack asks me. I nod shaking a little. "You'll be ok as long as I'm here." He says with a smile. We start to walk and it started to pour then we start to run. We run to my house and I run up to my room to change. After I change I open my door and I hide under my blankets. "Sarah you ok?" Jack asks then I feel the bed dip. I get up from under my blanket and I throw myself at jack. "Jack I'm scared." I say into his chest. "It's fine I'm here for you Sarah. You don't need to be scared." Jack says pulling me close.
Jack's P.O.V.
I hold Sarah close to me because she was shaking like no buddy's business. It took about an hour for the storm to pass. Sarah was clinging onto my shirt. "Sarah you can let go of me now. The storm has past." I say pulling her off if me. I looked at her face and it was wet and her eyes were red like she had been crying. "Are you ok love?" I ask. She stiffens a little and blush because I never called her by a pet name. "I'm ok. I'm sorry I had to put you through this." She says looking at the ground. I shake my head a little. "Don't be sorry. I kinda liked holding you like that." I say blushing a little. I pull her into a hug and she starts to cry her eyes out. "What wrong?" I ask her. "I haven't told you yet but my grandpa die a few years ago and sometimes I start to think about him and I start to miss him and... He used to help me through storms so it reminded me of him." She says before crying some more. I sigh and I rub her back a little and she seemed to relax. "I'm sorry about that. You can come to me and cry anytime you need to. You and call or text me if you need someone to cheer you up when I'm not home." I say before she lets go of me. She nods her head and wipes her eyes. She was a mess. Her makeup was on my shirt and in her face. "I'm so sorry jack." She says before getting a rag and wiping the makeup of. "It's fine. I'm gonna change my shirt and you can get cleaned up and I can take you bowling." I say. She looks at me excitement in her eyes. She nods. I get up and I head home to change my shirt. When I get back to Sarah's house Sarah was ready and we head to the bowling place. After a bit we finally start to play. At sometime they play the Cupid shuffle. Sarah and me dance to it and bump into each other a couple of times. After bowling Sarah won and we went to get some fro-yo.
Sarah's P.O.V.
At the fro-yo shop I saw my friend/crush Garret. When I saw him my I started to feel the way I never had before. My knees became weak and I had butterflies in my stomach."h-hey Garret." I say to him. He turns around and nods at me. "Hey Sarah" he says. He looked at jack and frowned a little."who's this?" Garret asks me. I look at jack then back to Garret. "This is my boyfriend jack we met in Branson and I turns out he lives here. We live a couple of houses away from each other." I say and I feel jack put and hand on my shoulder making me shiver a little. "Cool. I'm glad you found someon else, I never liked Tom anyways. Do you want to sit with me while we eat fro-yo?" He asks. I look at jack and he nods then I nod. "Sure that would be fun." I say with a smile.
Garret's P.O.V.
I was kinda sad to hear Sarah had another boyfriend because I was going to ask her out when school started again. "So how long have you been together?" I ask when we sit. "About 2 months." Sarah says. I nod. They been together since the first week of summer. "So what are you going to do for the fourth?" I ask. Sarah stops eating her fro-yo and looks at me. "What we do every year. Go to the parade in the same spot. Have a water fight after go to my grandmas to eat lunch and swim and have a lot of friends and family over for fireworks."she says starting to play with her fro-yo. "Cool." I say before finishing mine. After we were all done Sarah leaves with her boyfriend and I head home. I will have her someway. But how?
