Andrea "Drea" Gomez was just like the other girls: daddy issues, mommy issues, spending issues, and most definitely boy issues—name it and she got 'em all. Being the new girl four years ago was her life changer. From being her old school's nerd to finally getting a taste of being her new school's queen bee, she knew she had to change into one that she wouldn't recognize herself as.

Her father hasn't always been the best when it comes to her. Having built up his life working hard to provide for himself and his wife with hopes of impregnating her with a son, fate had other plans in mind and ruined his desired outcome. So when Drea was released into this forsaken world on one lovely winter night, instead of being there for his wife, who had passed out from giving birth, he stormed out of the local birth center with blood on his hand in hopes of getting drunk at a bar near their house. Her father had great looks during his younger years, one that you could consider ahem dilf. So when he entered that bar, he caught the eyes of the many ladies coming from the stage, and with a wink, he was able to satisfy his resentment towards his daughter.

Her mother blames her for the way her husband treats her. Why? Simple. Her husband changed the moment Drea was born. A certified drunkard who leaves his wife at home, breastfeeding and caring for their child, while he's out sleeping with girls he picks up from the streets. Her mother never knew it would end up like this when she lovingly said, "I do." with her flowy white dress at the altar at their local church. She was promised eternal love by the most handsome bachelor in their city, and now she regrets it, for he would hit on her and leave her with bruised cheeks when he came home tired from work. She knew Drea wasn't at fault when they decided they wanted to raise a child together, but she turned a blind eye and forced her daughter to wear boyish clothes and would have her daughter come with her to the park and introduce her to little boys as playmates, eager to not let her daughter place her hands on dolls.

Drea grew up having to deal with her parents constantly fighting at night, checking up on her mom only when things got too loud, knowing her mom would lash out at her if she caught her on sight. She resorted to locking herself up in her room and listening to Justin Bieber blasting his songs on her eardrums until one day it bled, but she didn't ask her parents for help; she knew they'd beat her up for even acting careless.

As if things would get better, her father divorced her mother, forcing her to be left in the legal care of her grandparents. As both of her parents left her, she got the love and care she never thought she'd ever receive, aka the one she's only seen in the movies.

Her childhood wasn't perfect, but being in the care of her grandparents made it easier and more special, and it made her feel worthy of love. So when they died when she was nine, she would get bullied by the prettiest girl in her school and would get thrown egg yolks by the popular gangs, but that didn't annoy her. Sure, she'd cry in the orphanage, waiting for someone to adopt her, but she wasn't close with any of them either, as they either deemed her a freak or vice versa.
