I looked around to check for the source of the sound. I found myself standing in a tunnel like thing. It had all sorts of devices hung on the walls all now facing in my direction.

A virtual Eyewear appeared on my face with thousands of options running through it at breakneck speed. The settings were passing before my eyes in a blur. I was unable to understand what kind of horrific situation I was in. I was completely unaware of this fact that my ancestors possessed the powers to travel across dimensions and the gem must be some sort of medium.

Now I am witnessing some sort of ancient magic that grants the wielder to travel across dimensions. I wanted to take this opportunity and learn more about this but I really need to go back home.

Wait, what. No way. That was really fast. If I can' t go back home atleast let me choose.

The room turned dark all of a sudden. A white door sprang from beneath the floor. I opened the door and entered a void space. Black clouds surrounded the top. A bridge was situated in the middle and was connected to another black door. I stepped forward, a little hesitantly too be honest. When I was completely standing on the bridge the door behind me disappeared abruptly. I looked at the spot where the door was just moments ago but now there was only the bridge that spread endlessly to who knows where. An abrupt lighting flashed in the empty space. A hauntingly loud thunder rolled from above somewhere. Fear settled in my heart as chills ran down my spine. I sprinted towards the black door as if my life depended on it. The storms seemed to be chasing me as more lightnings flashed above. I reached the black door and immediately turned the doorknob to open it and as I was about to step in a wave of emotions filled with anger and resentment greeted me out of nowhere. Profound loneliness weighed on my heart. I clutched my chest to remove that feeling. My vision became blurry. I blinked my eyes to clear it.
Once.

Twice.

Thrice.

I sat up and rubbed my eyes. My body was heavy. It felt like I had travelled on my broom for 2 days straight. I looked around my new surroundings as I regained my senses. The cold hard bed, small room probably an attic, a window facing towards the sun, seems like it is going to be morning soon. This room had little to no furniture except the bed and a small cupboard. I pressed my fingers on my temples to ease the newly started throbbing. What sort of situation have I fallen into? I internally screamed and started pulling on my own hair.

'Nuh-uh, darling. Calm down now. No need to worry so much. Just relax.' I looked over at my chest from where the elderly feminine voice came. The Red family heirloom  was there, you know there....embedded on my chest. It was glowing in a bright red hue.
'And who I am exactly talking to?'
'Why darling, I am your great great ancestor, Nehveluse Gitaria'.
Of course I know her she is the founding member of our noble lineage in our kingdom. We are one of the ancient families and one of the four pillars of our kingdom. I  quickly got down on my feet and bowed down my head in reverence to my great ancestor.
'Now, now no need to be so formal dear. After all we both are one now'.
'It’s must be my great fortune to have witnessed your presence, my lord. How come I still get to witness your holy presence in a completely different world?'
"I know you must have a lot of questions my dear. The little bit of consciousness that I had transferred to this Stone is all that is left of me. I am here to make my precious family members travel really easy. I have some really nice tricks with me, you know. Like here, take back all your mana darling. The absorption process will be completed in three days.'

I felt an overwhelmingly hot sensation travel across my body reaching up to the tip of my fingers. It is at this moment I realised how my mana completes me because I really had that bugging feeling since a while ago that something was missing.

"Now go and conquer the world. Aha ha ha". And she really started laughing like that was the easiest thing to say. I have not even ascended yet in my world. I bet she would really hate me if I tell her that.
"Don't worry dear. I already know that." My eyes widened at the sudden remark. She must have known. After all my mana was with her.

"I really wanted to ascend, my lord but I always failed to do so. The soul particles in my mana never created an harmony that would lead to my Ascension. You know I really tried. I swear I  trained hard everyday. But the results never showed my hard work."

" I know dear. I know. It is not easy for people with this large amount of mana to create harmony. First you need stability in your emotions dear. Try to claim that first. Now I am in dire need of some sleep dear so I wish you luck. Ah and I forgot to tell that tell that people who travel with the Gitaria name must conquer the world. It was not a joke. Bye bye darling."

The Red stone on my chest flickered a few times and then returned to myself normal colour.
My mouth dropped open at the last statement. I was really getting some useful tips over there to achieve my Ascension and there she goes and drops a bomb on everything.

Let's first see where I actually am. I opened the door and stepped out and gazed onto the thick and wild trees surrounding me. The small cottage behind me suddenly disappeared into thin air. What the he'll?! You must be kidding me. Where am I supposed to go now? What am I supposed to eat? Where am I supposed to sleep? The mana is still not integrated in my body.

And those where my thoughts one day before. I walked and walked  and am still walking to who knows where. You can't expect a noble woman to suddenly acquire survival skills in a tough situation.

I dropped on the ground to catch my breath as I gazed at the sun. A shadow fell across my face and I looked up to see a tall man looking at me with a hand over his chin. "And what might be such a beautiful woman doing alone in the middle of the forest all by herself...huhhh?"

I immediately sat on my legs and bowed down my head towards this strange new man, my only hope now. He was dressed in rags with a straw hat over his head.

"I really need some food and water right now, Sir. I will be immensely thankful if you can give them to me now. I will give you anything you want in return," spoke my noble tongue.

The man gazed at me with his mouth wide open unable to understand what to make of me. He looked at me to see if I was just playing with him but he sure must have not found any signs of deception.

"Woah. It seems you really need some food and water, miss."
He took out a piece of bread and a water bottle from his sack and handed them over to me. I gratefully accepted them, even though I have never seen such things before. But the situation here was really dire. The man smiled at something I was unaware of as I devoured the loaf of bread in seconds. After I had finished the man came closer to me and bent down to my eye level. A playful look covered his face.
"You said I could ask for anything right? You see I have been really lonely for a past few years and I really hate that feeling. So why not you marry me in return?"
