Bang! Bang! Bang!

A series of loud knocks on my room awoke me in an instant, as I panicked, looking around. Aria had to seriously chill. I slowly slipped out of bed, putting on my slippers and waddling over to the door.

"The fuck is your problem Adams?" I yanked it open, screaming in the face of a guy. In a second, the smug grin on his face dropped, as did mine. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I thought you were my friend."

"I also apologize, I thought this was my friend's room. I thought he was in room 901, which is why-"

"I'm room 910." I cut him off. I couldn't really hide my irritation from being awoken so abruptly, but the boy in front of me was honestly a pretty cute one. He had shaggy blonde hair that suited his blue eyes and pale skin. Not to mention he towered over my 5'8" stature with a solid 4 inches on me.

"I'm really really sorry." He pushed his hair back in a stressed manner before giving a small smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you though, I'm Alex."

"Hi Alex, I'm Kiara." I glanced at his outstretched arm and shook it. Aria would be proud to know I had gotten us one more human to be friends with.

"Kiara?" Her familiar voice pierced our handshake as I saw her head popping into the hallway. Her monkey pjs and slippers clearly left an impression on Alex as he chuckled.

"Aria! Come here. This goon woke me up to banging on my door because he thought I was his buddy." I pointed at him.

"But it worked out because I made a new friend. Two new ones if that includes you. Hey, I'm Alex." He stuck his arm out to her as well as she warily shook it.

"Hello Alex, nice to meet you. I just came to make sure you're awake. Get ready by 9 so we can go down for breakfast." She quickly walked back to her room before slamming the door.

"Sorry. She's grumpy in the mornings. It was nice meeting you! If I see you downstairs for breakfast, come sit with us!" I gave Alex a small smile.

"Yeah of course! Sorry once again, I'll see you around!" He smiled back before I lightly closed the door. What a great start to my day. I spent the next hour showering, cleaning up my room, and getting ready for the day. I decided on jeans and a Thayer branded t-shirt to keep it casual. I sent Alex a text to see if she was ready before heading out to her room. I picked her up on the way and we quickly made our way to the dining hall of the hotel. Considering the hotel was large, the hall was pretty big too, but that didn't stop us from noticing the tons of black SUVs standing outside the hotel, alongside the visibly increased security guards walking around.

"Jeez, I feel like I'm walking in the Pentagon right now or something." Aria mumbled.

"Second that." I picked up a plate and we made our way to the breakfast spread. I put on a plethora of eggs and croissants and fruits before noticing a familiar face waving at us. "Aria. It's Alex. Do you want to sit with him or no? You seemed ready to kill him in the morning."

"Oh! I'm so down- I was just so tired in the morning. Let's go say hi!" That was the Aria I knew. We made our way to this table and sat down on opposite sides of him and his friend. His friend was also pretty cute, with short brown hair and matching stubble.

"Hey guys! This is Brandon, he's my best friend from college. Brandon, this is Aria and Kiara, I met them this morning!"

"In that little mishap?" Brandon let out a laugh as Alex flushed. "Nice to meet you guys!"
"You as well!" Aria chirped up a little too fast. I gave her a side eye before munching down on my food. "So, who do you guys think is going to take up the position as CEO?"
