To whomever comes after;
I write this prequel letter of sorts whilst in my twilight years. My life has been long and eventful. I've seen good friends and companions come and go, fell in love, had children and grandchildren. Even so, I must look back on the adventures and events that started it all.
I was an acolyte of Rathma, goddess of the cycle. Our religion was sometimes seen as a cult, but our role was more important than most think. We guarded the sanctity of life, death, and rebirth. We fought against necromancy by using similar magic to thwart the creation and exploitation of undead. We even performed ceremonies and funeral rites. I joined the order at 15 due to being ostracized. My appearance is, let's say unique. The priests that took me in said I had celestial blood in me, but more on that in a bit.
I now am an elder of the order. We have long since rebuilt and most of my duties have been passed on to others. I spend my years in earnest translating and scribing texts from our first founding and periodically educating the new acolytes on tenants and ceremonies.
My good friend Shavronne is still around and kicking, same wit Sebastian. They visit me when time allows. I think fondly of them and will likely request their aid for my last pilgrimage.
I mentioned my appearance before. I was born with almost metallic silver hair and black eyes with white irises. I stood out wherever I went, which got me both in and out of trouble. Thanks to aid from Sebastian, I later learned how to use disguises to mask my appearance. Some hair dye here, a minor illusion there, and suddenly I'm a nondescript traveling priestess.
I end this letter with a warning. The contents of this journal may be off putting to those who are not prepared. I advise discretion when reading so the mind does not turn to dark paths.Together in the cycle,
