Third Person

"Please don't walk away from me. I thought you said you weren't mad," Mason sighed, following Ben's fast pace.

"I'm not mad," Ben stated, nonchalantly.

"Yes you are, I know because whenever you're mad you walk forwards without making eye contact with anyone. You zone out everyone," Mason stated.

"I'm talking to you, aren't I?"

Mason rolled his eyes all the while Ben sighed, he knew Mason knew him best, doesn't mean that he loves it though. He kept, almost sprint-like, walking down the hall, reminding himself to make eye contact with a few people.

"Okay, now you're just trying to make eye contact with people. Ben please," Mason pleaded.

"What!" Ben exclaimed, turning around and facing Mason.

Mason stepped back, in awe, and looked around. A couple people in the hallway's eyes were on them and he couldn't take that, so he grabbed Ben's wrist and pulled him down the hall towards, what was basically their's now, the janitor's closet. They reached the closet and stepped in, closing the door behind them, Mason locked it.

"What is it? Are you still mad about what happened on Sunday?" Mason asked.

Ben rolled his eyes and reached for the doorknob.

"Don't walk away from me, Ben," Mason mumbled.

"Of course I'm mad. You couldn't stop yourself, and we've barely been together for two weeks," Ben said.

Mason sighed and sat himself down on the cold tiles of the closet.

"I'm sorry Ben. I know I've said that already and it probably means nothing to you, but I mean it," Mason said.

Ben stayed silent.

"Ben, please," Mason pleaded.

Ben sighed and without saying anything, he sat down beside Mason and intertwined their hands. He smiled and leaned his head on Ben's shoulder.

"It won't happen again," Mason said softly.

Ben nodded lightly and let his breath, that he hadn't even known he was holding, go. He moved to stand up, which caused Mason's head to fall and wobble.

He cleared his throat, "we should get to class now," Ben said.

Mason inwardly groaned and nodded. He got up and let Ben out first. Ben opened the door, stuck his head out to see if anyone saw, there wasn't. Guess they all went to class, finally, Ben thought to himself. He stepped out and started his walk to class.

Mason

A few minutes later, I walked out of the closet, which is ironic because I'm still in the closet, metaphorically speaking. I cleared my throat and started walking to class when three guys stopped in front of me. More sprecifically, three guys from the basketball team. I swallowed my spit, in which I realized just how dry my mouth was.

"Hey Mason," a boy with tan skin and brown hair said.

I'm pretty sure his name is Jared Yurk, his sister dated Ben. He also tried taking captain of the basketball team but coach said he was a sore loser. Which was kinda true, considering in sophomore year he ended up putting the ref in the hospital. Yet another reason for me to be scared.

"Hey."

"So what were you doing in the janitor's closet?" The second boy, with pale skin and brown hair, asked.
