We were soon guided to a conference room where the orientation was to take place. The other interns seemed to be meticulously dressed, each one appearing eager to make a good impression. It was clear that everyone was taking this opportunity very seriously.

Maria and I found seats together, and I leaned over to whisper, "Everyone looks like they're here to impress someone important."

"Probably Ayaan," Maria added in a teasing tone, feeling a mix of pride and anxiety.

I glared at her playfully, trying to hide my smile. "Stop it, Maria," I said, shaking my head.

We were soon guided to a conference room where the orientation was to take place. The other interns seemed to be meticulously dressed, each one appearing eager to make a good impression. It was clear that everyone was taking this opportunity very seriously.

The orientation began with a brief introduction from one of the senior managers, outlining the expectations and goals for the internship. Throughout the presentation, I couldn't help but feel a bit overwhelmed by the magnitude of it all. But having Maria by my side made it a little easier.

After the orientation, we were given a tour of the office. The workspace was modern and efficient, with collaborative areas and quiet zones for focused work. As we walked through the corridors, I noticed the professionalism and dedication of the employees. It was inspiring and intimidating all at once.

Maria and I found a moment to talk during a break. "This place is amazing," she said, looking around. "But also a bit daunting."

"I know," I agreed. "But we'll get through it together."

Soon, it was time for our interviews. We were called into a conference room one by one. When it was my turn, I felt my heart race. As I walked in, I saw Ayaan seated at the head of the table, along with several other senior staff members.

Ayaan looked at me as if he was seeing me for the first time, his expression neutral and unreadable. I took a seat and tried to focus on the questions being asked. Despite my nerves, I answered confidently, drawing on my preparation and genuine passion for the work.

As the interview progressed, I noticed Ayaan watching me closely. He didn't give any indication of favoritism or familiarity, treating me just like any other candidate. This made me even more determined to prove myself on my own merits.

After the interview, I felt a sense of relief. Maria was waiting for me outside the room, and we exchanged quick smiles before she was called in for her turn. The waiting area was filled with a buzz of anticipation as everyone discussed their interviews.

When Maria came out, she looked both relieved and excited. "I think it went well," she said, joining me.

"Me too," I replied, feeling hopeful. "Now we just have to wait."

By the end of the day, the selection results were announced. My heart pounded as the names were read out. When I heard my name, a rush of relief and excitement washed over me. Maria's name was called right after mine, and we exchanged ecstatic smiles.

We both had made it. It was just the beginning, but it was a promising start. With supportive friends like Maria and a challenging yet exciting environment, I knew I could handle whatever came my way.

Ayaan, along with Sahil bhai and another colleague, came to congratulate us on being selected for the internship. They praised our performance during the interview and expressed their confidence in our abilities.
