Having ear buds in my ears, I danced down the stairs syncing with the beat of my new favorite song, Young Blood.
As I reached the front door, I heard my mother calling me from the kitchen. There was an amazing smell coming from the kitchen so I walked to her, drooling.
"Yeah mom?" I asked looking at my stomach as it growled.
"When you get to school call me okay?"
"Okay mom." I answered knowing perfectly why she told me that. She started worrying about me a week ago when I came home crying.
I tried telling her I was okay but she wasn't taking it so I ended up spilling everything to her for about an hour. It happened at school. I told her about my guy friends and how they betrayed me. She was really upset, wanting to complain to the school board but I begged her not too because I don't want anymore drama between my ex-friends and I. Yeah, I broke up our friendship in my mind, I'm not the only one right?
"See you later mom!" I yelled out to her as I was walking out the front door.
"Bye honey!"

As I was getting closer to school, I slowed down my walking speed because I necessarily didn't want to be made fun of yet.
Walking down the school corridors, I heard a few snickers and whispering from my school mates. Was it really that funny? It happened a week ago! Can't they just let it go? Getting angry, I rolled my eyes and pushed the doors open into the school. The fresh air hit my face calming me down automatically.
I went straight to my lockers to get my things and put my other stuff in there. I really didn't want to face them. How could they do this to me? We were the best of friends. I don't even understand. As I was about to put my back pack in my locker, someone slammed the locker door, closing it.
What the hell? Turning my head to the right I saw them. Edgar, Liam, Mason, Trent and Brett was smirking and looking at me.
How could they do this to me? Getting furious I yelled at them.
"What the hell do you guys want?"
Mason was the first to answer. "Nothing baby, what are you doing here?"
"What does it look like dumbass? I'm obviously going to school."
"Watch your language Hopie, you don't want to get us upset now do you?" Edgar spoke to defend his friend.
"Can you guys just leave me the hell alone?"
Ignoring my question, they all snickered.
"Why would we? Aren't you our friend?" Brett smiled at me cheekily.
"No. Why would I be friends with douchebags?"
"Ouch. That hurts." he faked patting his sad, poor heart.
The next thing I knew was that Trent knocked down my books and Liam kicked my books to the side as they were all laughing.
As they were leaving I yelled out, "Why do you guys do this to me! What did I ever do to deserve this!"
Walking to my first period, I tried holding back my tears when remembering our memories together. Way before when the incident happened.
Flashback
"Hey Hope!" Liam yelled out running towards me with the guys following close behind.
I smiled, these dorks were my best friends.
"Hey guys!" I yelled back out at them seeing they were still far away.
When they got closer, they were fake heavy breathing because I knew they were anything but tired. They were the most popular guys in our school. All of them were involved in Athletics and come to think of it, I don't even know how we became friends. I was the dorky kid always in the front of the class trying to pass.
"We have a pool party tonight! Want to come with?" Brett asked while giving me a smile.
I didn't really want to go and I could tell they could see that from the look of my face so they were all giving me slow nods to pressure me on saying yes.
"Well.. will there be food?" I asked looking at them.
"Duh!" Edgar said like it was the obvious thing ever.
"And rum!" Trent screamed because lord, did he love rum, yes he did. Mason shook his head looking at him weird.
"Fine I'll go," making it look like I didn't really want to go but deep down I did. There was food!
"Great! See you later tonight Hopie!" Liam smiled walking away with the guys.

I got out of my warm shower I took that lasted at least thirty minutes. Sighing, I looked into my closet. I have nothing to wear! I closed my eye and pointed my hand straight out. Swinging from side to side, I stopped at my jeans section, deciding which to wear. I did the same with my shoes and tops.
After I got dressed, I went outside to see Edgar waiting for me by his car.
"Wow, you look wonderful," he said stunningly.
"Stop flattering me and let's go," I huffed.
Smiling, he went to his side and we got ready to leave.
