"I called you an hour ago Journee, where the hell were you!" My mother, Destiny yelled at me the moment I step through the door.
"I wa- and who's car you just came out of!" She interrupted me mid sentence.
How u gon ask me a question but interrupt me when I try to answer..so aggravating.
"I'm tryna tell u tho.." I said quietly, and she looked at me like I was crazy.
I didn't even say nothing wrong.
She then shook her head, "tell me then."
That's what i was trying to do before u cut me off.
"I was at Zai's mom house before you call me then his cousin offered to drop me off." I fidgeted my fingers to keep me and calm and stop me from blowing up on her.
"Was his cousin a boy or a girl." She said while looking at me weirdly.
Tfawk.
I took a deep breath before opening my mouth to speak. "It was a boy."
She shook her head before saying "of course it was." Under her breath.

*7 YEARS AGO.*
"I don't wanna show them tho-." 10 year old Journee said unsurely to a 13 year old boy named Demetrius said.
Demetrius was her mother's friend son, that would come over from time to time.
"Quit being scary and just show me." The 13 year old boy said to 10 year old Journee.
10 year old Journee had a hesitating look on her face then lifted up her shirt to show the older boy her newly develop chest.
Journee mother then came in which made both of them jump, especial Demetrius.
"Miss D, Journee came in telling me how she wanted to show me something and she did this." Demetrius quickly exclaimed the moment journee mother came in.

"Journee did you hear me!?" She raised her voice at me finally catching my attention from old thoughts.
"Huh.." I don't know she meant when she said 'of course it was'.
"I asked who was that boy?" She asked while squinting her eyes at me.
"I already told you it was Zai's cousin."
"That's all you have to say?" She looked at me weirdly like she was expecting another answer.
