Stepping into the welcoming and comforting atmosphere of their house, the toon couple both sighed in deep happiness.
"Home at last!" Roger said contently.
"Yeah..." Jessica replied just as content, looking down at her rabbit husband who she hadn't seen for what felt like years. With her being forced to stay longer than usual at the Ink-and-Paint-Club, in order to fulfill R.K. Maroon's terrible demands.
Jessica's guilt still burned deep inside of her. The guilt of making Roger believe, that she actually cheated on him with Marvin Acme.
She could only imagine how crushed her poor honey bunny must've been, when he had been informed of it. But she couldn't let this spoil the mood right now.
She had to make it up to him. And not just by baking him a carrot cake.
No, Jessica had a lot more in mind for him than that.
And it begins now!
"Roger?" Jessica cooed and leaning down to him and seductively twirling one of his rabbit ears around her finger. Roger stiffened at the sudden contact and a blush dusted over his cheeks.
"Y-yes, dearest?" he asked while turning around to face her, sounding all excited.
"I was wondering..." she continued, pretending to be deep in thought. "..Before making you that carrot cake..would it be alright, if we first head upstairs for a little snuggle?" In any other situation Jessica would've asked, if Roger was in the mood for some patty-cake. But given that she did the same thing with Marvin just a night ago, it probably wasn't best time to start talking about that again.
Roger's face immediately lit up at her suggestion. "Yes! Yes! Yes! Absolutely! P-p-p-lease! Let's do i-Wah!" The rabbit was cut off when his wife unexpectedly scooped him into her arms with one swift motion.
"Well, come on then.." she smiled and started making her way upstairs.

Snuggled up against each other, they once again let out happy simultaneous sighs of being in each other's arms again.
"Oh honey bunny, I missed you so much.." Jessica purred into Roger's ear, holding him closer.
"I missed you too, love cup..." he replied, before lifting his head and giving her a kiss on the cheek. But he didn't stop there. Scooting upwards, the hare proceeded to pressing another kiss to his wife's forehead, then her other cheek, her nose..
Jessica instinctively giggled at this. "Roger!"
"What? You've already covered my face in kisses, now it's my turn!" he said before continuing his kissing-tutorial.
"Alright, fair enough." Jessica sighed, enjoying every second of his pure affection towards her. "But on one condition.."
"What condition, Jess?" Roger asked curiously, pulling back.
A sly smile spread across the redhead's face. "If I get you hear your laughter!"
Without warning, she pounced on top of Roger and started tickling his tummy.
"Ah!! Jessica, no!! No!!!" he yelled through his laughs, trying to get away.
"Sorry, but I haven't heard your laughter in days. I'm just making up for lost time." Jessica crooned, before moving to Roger's feet, his most ticklish spot. "Nooo!!! Not my feet!! Anywhere but there!! P-p-p-lease!!!"
There was no escaping his wife's grasp though. But it thankfully didn't last for too long.
Jessica soon released his feet again and instead threw herself back on the bed, snuggling up to her rabbit husband.
"All done, darling..." she sweetly said before catching Roger's mouth in a passionate kiss, wich instantly made him swoon.
How much she had missed these lovesick stares...

Roger had no idea what time it was when he suddenly woke up out of the blue, finding himself still in bed.
He couldn't even tell for sure what woke him up. That is, until a heavenly smell filled his nostrils, causing his stomach to start growling loudly. That's when he realized just how hungry he really was.
Flipping to the other side, his heart instantly filled with pure joy as he saw Jessica standing in the doorway wearing a cute little apron, a dazzling smile and with a freshly baked carrot cake in hand.
It was in the shape of a heart, coated with orange frosting and a candy carrot on top of it.
"Surprise!" she cheerfully said in a singsong kind of way.
Completely enthralled, Roger sprung up and started hopping up und and down the bed. "Jeepers! You've really outdone yourself, love cup! Let's dig in!"
Jessica really didn't have any intention of eating the cake with him, but if it was something he wanted himself, then she wouldn't argue.

A massive burp escaped from the hare's mouth, and he instantly covered it with his gloved hand.
"Excuse me.." Roger squeaked, his whole face going red. But Jessica only laughed it off. "I guess that cake must've really been extra delicious."
"The best one you've ever made yet!" her husband clarified with a nod, before realizing Jessica thoughtfully studying his face.
"What is it?"
"I think you missed a spot, darling.." the redhead answered, her look now turning shrewd.
Roger raised an eyebrow. "Huh?"
Instead of replying this time, Jessica casually leaned forward and licked some leftover frosting off her husband's bunny nose.
"Oh! Right here!" Roger said in realization and laughed goofily. "Thanks, Jessie."
His wife was about to say something else, but all that came out of her was a firm yawn. The hare frowned in slight concern at this. "Boy...We should perhaps get some rest now, dearest."
But the redhead didn't want to sleep.
She still had so much in mind that she wanted to cater Roger with. But there was no use in fighting her oncoming exhaustion, that was making her eyelids grow heavier with each passing minute. "Oh well, I'll just continue my catering tomorrow.." she thought. Her husband seemed more than happy right now anyway. There wasn't the slightest hint of accusation or betrayal in those baby blue eyes of his. Only devotion and care.
That was all she needed to see.
Smiling drowsily, Jessica pulled Roger close to her chest and tucked his head underneath her chin. The rabbit wasted no time doing the same while also pulling the bed covers over them both in the process.
"Good night, honey bunny. I love you..." Jessica managed to give Roger one last kiss on his nose, before finally loosing to her tiredness and gently drifting off.
"I love you too." Roger lovingly whispered and leaned forward to give his wife a light peck on the cheek. "Sweet dreams, love cup.."
Soon enough, he had given into his tiredness as well and the couple peacefully dosed away in each other's embrace.
Together...
They were together again.
Both of them happy. Both of them content.
And everything was perfect.
