CHAPTER FIVE
SECTION A
2 MONTHS LATER
Fauziya has little expectation after she married Anas,
The house they live in is a family house but Anas is occupying the main 4bedrooms duplex, his step sisters are occupying the one, one bed rooms in the compound they do their own things while Fauziya do hers, so far she's happy.
"I hope this work,
I will stay for 2days."Anas says as Fauziya arrange the clothes for him inside the suitcase while he iron some.
"Can I go home and stay until you are back?"Fauziya ask with a smile making him to smile at her.
"If you want to,"he says and she nod.
It's the first time Anas is traveling since they got married, recently Anas had an accident with one of his car, it was a freak accident that set the car ablaze it's by God grace he's alive, Anas always take her to school and pick her up when she is done with her lectures, she likes his gentle personality and protectiveness, they only had disagreement once which was because she didn't call him and come home from school, it was insane he was so angry and to her she was hungry and the class was cancel so she doesn't want to stress him that morning because he barely drop her, now that he's traveling he has make arrangement with a tricycle that would take her and bring her back home.
"What of your boss?"Fauziya ask, Anas told her he's having slight issue at work place with his boss mostly because the boss brother now works in the. Company and now he want Anas kicked out so his brother would take the position.
"Alhamdulillah,
I hope this trip will solve everything,
May Almighty make it easy on us."he says and she mutter Ameen.
The couple continue with what they were doing and, by the time they were done with the arrangement it was sunrise already, Fauziya cooked for Anas and make sure she adds everything he would need before she sees him off in the compound, it's going to be a long drive for him since he's alone.
Fauziya head back inside and Arrange the house,
She take her time to clean everywhere and by the time she was done it almost noon, she called Anas and he told her he would soon reach his destination,
She call.the tricycle guy and start getting ready before he arrives, it was a slow day for her 2 lectures and she was done by evening,
She called Anas while she waits for the tricycle as Anas told her he's in his hotel room resting for the day he would review the paper work and tomorrow he would go meet the people that he went for, she bid him goodbyes after the tricycle arrived and the drive home was a quiet one, when she reached home she quickly freshen up and eat something before she arrange her things in her bag and head home.
Hajiya Maryam has always have expectations,
She has big expectations on her children and the past two months that Fauziya married it's the first time the girl is coming home, it's funny how despite how staying at home was rough we still missed.
"So you Just came empty handed?
Nothing?"hajiya Maryam ask fauziya who's staring at her mum surprised by Allah she was expecting her mum to hug her and say she missed or some meaningful words.
"Anas travel........
"Ehen?
He traveled and you can't tell me he didn't left you some money?
Ramadan is almost here,
Not even 5naira have you given to me let alone provision and you are married to a man that is capable,
The Anas I know was a giver but since you married him you have stopped him from giving me anything."Hajiya Maryam ranted as fauziya just sit not even knowing what to do or even say.
