Taylor woke up slowly, groaning as she felt a wave of stomach cramps wash over her. She sat up and cursed under her breath when she saw the blood on the sheets. She was too tired and in too much pain to deal with that at the moment, so she grabbed some new clothes and cleaned herself off, taking some Midol, before heading down to the couch with a comfy blanket in her hands. Once she was in the fetal position on the couch, she grabbed her phone and called Travis.
"Hey baby, how are you?" He greeted her as soon as he picked up.
"I'm okay. Except I uh..I think I'm going to have to cancel lunch today. I'm feeling kind of sick."
"Oh no, what's wrong Tay?"
"It's just a stomachache, but I don't really feel like going anywhere right now if that's okay."
"Of course it's okay, you should rest. I can come over if you want, bring you some stuff and take care of you."
"That's sweet, but you don't have to. I'll call you later and let you know how I'm feeling, okay?"
"Okay...if you're sure."
"I'm sure. Bye Trav."
"Bye Tay."
As soon as she hung up, Taylor gripped her stomach and groaned, burying her face in the pillow, her eyes falling shut as she tried to fall back asleep. She must have drifted off at some point because she was startled awake by the sound of her front door opening. Her head snapped up, looking at the source of the sound, relaxing slightly when she realized it was just Travis.
"I'm sorry baby, I didn't mean to scare you." He walked over, placing a soft kiss on her head as he sat down next to her, setting the bag he had brought on the table.
"What are you doing here?" She asked groggily, instinctively reaching out for his hand.
"I wanted to surprise you." He replied, squeezing her hand gently. "I brought some stuff. Some ginger ale and some anti-nausea meds. I didn't know if you were throwing up or just nauseous bu-"
"Neither." She grumbled, rolling away from him, her cheeks flushed.
"Neither? So like...the other end?" He teased, hoping she would laugh. He knew she would be shy about it, but he had prepared for that as well.
"Travis." She groaned, shaking her head. She was now sufficiently embarrassed. "No, it's not that."
"So what is it baby?" He asked, starting to worry a little.
"It's...I'm..I'm on my period." She huffed, covering her face with her hands.
Travis tried not to laugh as he reached over and moved her hands off her face, kneeling in front of her. He decided not to press her too much for right now, knowing she was embarrassed, even though she didn't need to be. "What can I do?"
Her lip quivered slightly as she looked at him. "I was going to use my heating pad but I can't find an extension cord and it won't reach over to the couch without one." She whimpered.
"Why don't we go up to your room sweetheart. The outlet up there is close enough, I've used the heating pad up there before."
"I can't." She whispered.
"Why not?"
The blonde sniffed, tears slipping out of her eyes, her cheeks flushing again. "There's blood on the sheets."
