The next day, during Language Arts, I looked out the window to see that same boy climbing the fence, walking across the track field, jumping over the other side, and walking away. That sequence of events warranted another drawing. Seeing him do more physical activity, and a different outfit made me aware of other scares on his body. He has one on his forearm and one above his eyebrow. They were so red and so...weirdly placed that they looked like stab wounds. At this point, he was just wandering around like a stray cat. Unless he was there on a mission or something dumb.

Two days a week, I have ballet as my extracurricular. On top of my regular ballet classes, these are a dream. Unfortunately, I was spending half of my work time drawing that boy, which caught the attention of Miley, the dance teacher's favourite student. (even though she just started dancing last month). "A'Zarius?" she called out. "What are you doing?"
"Nothing," I replied, closing my book and standing back up. "Your face has been in that book for thirty minutes. What are you even writing?" sometimes Miley thinks she can take over the authority of the goddamn teacher, excuse my language. "I'm not writing." Miley scoffed. "Whatever." I hate whenever the teacher leaves because when he does, all I hear is Miley's annoying, nasally voice pointing out what I'm doing wrong. "Have some personality A'Zarius." 'point your feet, A'Zarius', 'straighten your legs, A'Zarius', 'do this, do that'. Ugh. I hate her. Just then, I ended up turning to my left to see that boy out of the window. Again. This time he was wearing sunglasses and high tops. I guess he figured out who I was because our eyes met at the same time. Just as confused as I am (albeit he was probably confused at the fact that I was staring at him so much), he lifted his sunglasses above his head and raised an eyebrow. I didn't know what to say. For a few moments, we were just staring at each other, waiting for one of us to do something. "A'Zarius!" I'd never thought I'd say this, but thank God for Miley. "What are you staring at?" before she could approach the window, the boy lost interest and left. "I... nothing never mind." ever since then, my positions were awful. That boy had made me wobbly and unfocused. That was it. I needed to find out who that boy was.

It was obvious Mother was keeping his identity from me, so the only option was to sit around after school in hopes that I would see him once more. The bad part is, I didn't know how I would work up enough courage to speak to him. Every time we met, it was pure silence. But of course, fate's on my side. After what seemed like hours of lying around the tennis court, I saw him again. In the same outfit and the same glasses above his head. "Hey," was the only thing my mouth blurted. He looked at me and raised his eyebrow. Not a fan of words. Noted. I walked closer to him and raised my eyebrows trying to get him to talk. He crossed his arms and took one step back. "I-I'm sorry," I stuttered, keeping the space in between us. "What are you doing here?"
"It's a school." he shrugged. "You don't go here." I didn't mean to approach him in such a way, but my curiosity had clouded my judgment. "How don't know that."
"You're a Voltaris." he lowered his eyebrows and stared at me with an annoyed look on his face. Gods, I just met this boy and I already sounded like a jerk. "I- no. I didn't mean it like that I just-" I pushed stray strands of hair behind my ear and could feel my cheeks getting pink. He put his hand up to stop me from having an asthma attack and a heart attack at the same time in front of him. "Don't bother, princess." heavens no. "Excuse me?" little did I know we were both terrible at communicating. "Your father, Thalleous Sendaris, before he died he was a royal of Sendaria, wasn't he?" oh. I felt even worse for thinking he was just as rude as the boys here. I nodded. "Why are you here, again?"
"My father wants me here?"
"Like- wants you in school?" He shook his head before walking past me. Before he could leave I called out for him. "Wait!" he stopped and turned around. "What's your name again?"
"Domitrius." he said before leaving. Gods, he's a peculiar boy. Our odyssey will be an interesting one.
