Today we were picking out the Grade captain and the vice captains. It was a no-brainer that we picked Sakura to be captain, but I was a little surprised that I was picked to be vice-captain.
I wasn't picked, more like told by Sakura.
After Nirei and Hayato agreed to be Sakura's vice-captains, the boy pointed at me.
"If you're gonna force me, then you're a damn vice-captain too," Sakura cursed as I looked over at Enomoto, who had only shrugged.
"Walker said this would happen, so whatever," the second year shrugged.
"Finally we're done, damn" Kaji cursed before pulling out another lollipop while going back to his phone.
"Well now that that's decided-" "uh can we make a Tamon team chat?" Nirei asked, which was a pretty good idea, the class all agreeing.
Once the chat was made we all had to go on patrol, and for some reason that translated into the four of us having to patrol with Kaji and his two vice-captains.
As we walked an older woman had come over for us to find a girl named Risa.
"Again? I told you to keep an eye on her!" Kaji scolded but he had still agreed to help find the cat.
"We're definitely gonna find her," Sakura declared just in time for Hayato to send his words in the group chat, everyone hyping up Sakura.
"Aw, you're blushing Sakura," "Shut up! Let's just go," Sakura yelled while ignoring our taunting, a cat suddenly jumped onto his face.
"There she is! Catch her!" Enomoto yelled at us, making the realization that "Risa" was only a cat and not a girl.
Sakura's crazy ass had already started to chase the cat, even jumping up onto building roofs for her.
"That is not the neighborhood Spider-Man" "At least he still has his imagination," Hayato shrugged as we watched the boy go.
Luckily through my laughter, Risa had been caught by Kaji who had jumped into a fake little pond for her, the second year now shirtless.
"...you're so pale, like, terribly pale"

"Fuck? Is that a problem?" "Lowkey, we're literally in the middle of summer and you're damn near see through"
After bickering a bit with Kaji we had finally left, but by the end of patrol we all had to depart, Hayato walking me home as usual before he left as well.
"Hey Walker...Ume?"
After walking into my home, I saw Umemiya here, the guy currently in sweats with a plate in hand.
"There you are, we were waiting on you," he smiled cheerfully "Yeah Ume wanted to make this an extended sleepover, Hiragi's here too, but I think those pills are making him shit," Walked cringed "knew they'd catch up to him at some point," I shook my head in disappointment.
Anyway, I headed to my room to change real fast before fixing my plate, Hiragi walked in to dry his hands with a paper towel.
"Oh, there you are," "Mhm, I hope you didn't stink up my brother's bathroom," I say while side-eyeing my friend, Hiragi rolling his eyes.
"Suddenly I hate you again," Hiragi rolled his eyes as I kicked his ankle "Ay don't be lying now, you love me," I laughed while jumping onto his back, thankfully being caught as we headed over to the couch.
"So how've you been?" Umemiya asked as I shrugged "I've been fine," "Even with Suo?" Walker asked as I nodded after taking a bite of food.
"Mhm, we don't have problems besides that teasing shit," I shrugged as the three nodded.
"Seems like you're in love," Umemiya grinned and my brother was as well, Hiragi seeming like he was also catching on.
"I mean yeah, but we haven't like said it," "you haven't told each other that you're in love?" Walker asked as if that was such a shock.
"We use love in passing but...yeah"
Now I was faced with three confused guys, surprising me because I never expected them to be this invested.
"We're gonna just let you be on that 'cause folks need time, but how do you feel about Suo?" Now it was all making sense, this was not just a talk but the three must be conspiring for something, I don't know what but it's something.
Despite my suspicions, I was happy to tell them about my feelings for Hayato, and if he were here now there's no doubt that my constant smile and giggles would earn me a lifetime of being made fun of.
"Y'all can't tell okay?" "Duh we're not gonna tell," Hiragi spoke as Umemiya and Walker agreed.
"Look...Haya's such a gentleman, like I literally can't even be mad at him sometimes cause of that, even when he teases me I play mad but I get so nervous, it's not even okay"
Saying everything sort of felt good, especially because I do get nervous around Hayato, and it doesn't help when he gets bolder than usual, suddenly so close to me that I swear we were sharing the same breaths.
Of course, I'd never say that part out loud, I'd never tell anyone how much I liked it when I saw my boyfriend get flustered whenever I caught him staring, or how the vibrato in his tone would drop all for a compliment that would always end with us kissing, and I surely couldn't say that I wished for that kiss to turn into something else.
Those thoughts were for me to keep and maybe if the time comes, I'll tell Hayato to, but only if given the chance.
After letting out the rest of my feelings I couldn't help but smile.
"Wow, my mean ass sister can feel like that about one guy? I'm impressed," Walker joked as if I'd never told him about stuff like this.
I only ignored my brother and finally the topic had moved on, but only after getting a goodnight text from Hayato, to which I replied.
After replying to the text I decided that I probably shouldn't stay up tonight, my eyes heavy as I bid everyone a goodnight before heading into my room for the night.
