There once was a Shrine Maïden of one of many Gensokyos.

Her name's was Reïmu Hakureï, like her predecessors.

Albeit small, that young woman was quite the adventurous and efficient little girl, always being able to resolves incidents that happened all around her.

However, her world faced a calamity that even Reïmu could not prevent.

A devastating event swept through her home, reducing it to a barren wasteland.

Her friends, the people she protected, and the vibrant life of her world were all lost in the blink of an eye.

Stricken with grief and feeling abandoned by those she had once called friends and allies, Reïmu's heart grew heavy with sorrow and bitterness.

Her once bright and cheerful demeanor darkened as the weight of her loneliness and loss consumed her.

In her despair, she stumbled upon an ancient, cursed artifact hidden within the depths of her shrine. This relic, rumored to possess unimaginable power, promised to restore what had been lost. Desperate and without hope, Reïmu embraced the artifact, unaware of the dark influence it would exert over her.

As she tapped into the artifact's power, Reïmu began to change.

The once pure and noble shrine maiden started to become something else, something darker.

Her abilities grew stronger, but so did the corruption within her soul.

She became Reï, a husk that was only a half of her former self, wich only kept the anger, sorrow and power of the poor woman.

Driven by a desire for revenge and a twisted sense of justice, Reï decided that others should share in her pain.

If she could not be happy, then no one should.

She set out to spread devastation and sorrow to any world she encountered, becoming a harbinger of doom.

She would also consume every version of her she would ever meet with, in order to feel more whole, at least for short spans of time.

Thus, Reï wandered from world to world, spreading her pain and devastation, forever haunted by the memories of a life she could never reclaim.

Her once noble purpose as a shrine maiden was lost to the darkness, leaving only a vengeful spirit, like the many she had dealt with by the past in its place.

Reï was a tragic figure, trapped in a cycle of darkness and despair, forever searching for a way to fill the void left by the loss of her world and her friends.

Yet, with each world she visited and each version of herself she consumed, she only grew more distant from the person she had once been.

There were whispers among the worlds of a way to break the curse that bound her, to restore the noble Shrine Maiden Reimu Hakurei and purge the darkness that had taken hold.

Yet finding that path seemed an impossible task, lost in the maelstrom of pain and suffering that consumed her existence.

And so, Reï wandered on, a tragic and fearsome figure, forever haunted by the memories of a life she could never reclaim, spreading her pain and devastation wherever she went.

Wich is the time she met THE PRESIDENT.

A noble lady who would give her a New purpose and goal, that of assuming what she had become: a freak.

Reï hesitated, torn between her desire for revenge and her longing for redemption.

Could she truly find a new purpose in this world?

Could THE PRESIDENT offer her a way to break free from the curse that bound her?

Despite her doubts, a flicker of hope ignited within Reï.

Perhaps this was the chance she had been searching for, a way to transcend her tragic fate and find a new path forward.

And for once since a long, long period, Reï spoke with a ting of resignation and defiance:

"What would you have me do?"

THE PRESIDENT smiled again, a smile that held promises of both salvation and peril.

"Become my enforcer, my harbinger of change.

Lead those who fear you, and crush those who oppose us.

In return, I will offer you purpose, power, and a chance to rewrite your destiny."

Reï's decision was made in that moment, a decision born from desperation and a glimmer of hope.

She would join THE PRESIDENT, not just as a vengeful spirit, but as something more.

She would become a leader, a symbol of transformation and power.

And so, Reï Hakureï, now known simply as Reï, embarked on a new journey, one that would lead her deeper into the heart of darkness, but also toward a flicker of light into one of those:

"Gensokyo's Terrifying Nights."

The stage is now set and the girls(?) are preparing...
