**Title: "best friends can kiss right ?"**

Warning: a little suggestive, fem is kind of a brat, extremely fluffy

Mia sighed exasperatingly as she yet again lost to her best friend in a game of cards

"Uhh what the hell man, how are you doing this, you have to be cheating", she said

Ni-ki chuckled at her pathetic attempt to pin her lose on him

"Just admit that I'm better than you bunny"

Her Cheeks warmed at the nickname ni-ki gave her sometime ago, even though he calls her that Everytime, it still makes her feel "weird"

"Hmph whatever I'm not playing anymore have fun cheating on yourself"

"Where are you going to he said pulling her by her wrist back to the ground they were sitting on"

"I'm going to shower you probably should to"

"But I already showered" he replied

"Did you? I didn't notice you stink of trickery and cheating"

He let her go giggling at how petty she was, she always gets like this whenever she looses to him in anything

She sauntered away with her arms crossed, stomping her feet against the carpeted floor.

Ni-ki and Mia had been friends since their sophomore year in highschool, with Mia being on the cheer leading squad and Ni-ki on the football team, one thing led to another and they found them selves in an unbreakable friendship, they ended up attending the same college and along the line became best of friends, not being able to do a thing without the other.
While Ni-ki lived alone in his apartment, Mia lived in the college dorm, ni-ki had asked her a time without number to move in with him, but she insisted against it, saying it wasn't appropriate.

From time to time Mia would crash at his place for some "fresh air"
And today was one of those times.

Settling in to Ni-ki's bed, Mia was getting ready to drift off to sleep but paused seeing ni-ki leaning against the door frame staring unabashedly at her

"Wh...why are you sta.. staring at me like that",
Why am I stuttering she pondered , why not when he's staring at me like he wants to devour me

"Like what" he asked

"Like... I don't know man, just stop looking at me like that"

Ni-ki had a ghost of a smile on his face as he started towards the bed

"Hey what are you doing", Mia hurriedly spoke , remember our deal, you take the couch I take the bed, now shoo"

"Hmm my body hurts I need to be comfortable",

"I'll take the couch then goodnight"

"Hold up bunny, always running away" he said as he stood in front of her denying her access to the door.

He chuckled lightly, "why do you look like a deer caught in head lights"

She scoffed
"Heh listen here nishimura, I'm not scared of you got it" hmph

"Mm I'm glad your not", leaning down to her height, hands in his pocket he tilted his head slightly , and stared deeply into her eyes,

Mia felt her heart drop, he always makes her feel like this, why , she can't explain the effect he has on her, he makes her knees buckle it's maddening, she even had a wet dream about him once let's say she ignored him for the rest of the week, because she felt like she committed a grave sin , dreaming those sort of things about her best friend

Glancing down at her lips
He whispered words drawn out of her wildest dreams

"Best friends can kiss... Right" ?

She laughed, a laugh so fake
Taking a pace backward,
"Oo Ni-ki be so for real right now, I think your head must be hurting as much as your body"

Straightening his posture he smiled

"It does Everytime I'm with you"
Ni-ki took a deep breath, his heart pounding in his chest. He looked into her eyes, searching for the right words. "I need to tell you something," he began, his voice trembling slightly. "I don't know when it happened, or how it started, but somewhere along the way, I fell for you. I don't just like you-I love you. It's like this constant ache in my chest, this longing that I can't ignore. I want you so badly, more than I've ever wanted anything. You're my best friend, and I can't imagine my life without you. But I had to tell you the truth, even if it changes everything.
I don't need your answer right now, take your time, I'll be outside in the mean while .

She crossed her arms and gave him a playful glare. "You idiot," she said, her voice tinged with mock annoyance. "Do you have any idea how long I've been dying to tell you the same thing? I've been keeping my feelings bottled up for so long, waiting for you to notice. I love you too, Ni-ki. I've wanted you just as much, but I was too scared to say anything. Next time, don't make me wait so long."

He chortled, walking to her and snaking his arms around her waist, pulling her impossibly closer

"Did I make my baby wait for to long" he hummed in a voice thick with amusement

Her heart did back flips at the close proximity they shared

"Mm" she replied in a cute tone looking up at him with a slight pout on her lips

"I should compensate you for that shouldn't I love"?

Oh my gosh this man is gonna be the end of me, where's all this sweetness coming from.

"You should" she replied

"Before that Mia satori will you be my girlfriend"?

"Yes I will Riki nishimura", Mia replied smiling cheekily

"So beautiful" he said cupping her face with one hand, leaving the other on her waist

He began to slowly and agonizingly brush his finger on her lips, she closed her eyes relishing the feeling

"Mia," Ni-ki murmured, his voice barely more than a breath. " Can I... Kiss you" ?

Her eyes opened, meeting his with a softness that made his heart ache. "Yes," she whispered.Ni-ki leaned in, closing the distance between them. When their lips met, it was like the world stopped. The kiss was gentle, tentative at first, but filled with all the unspoken words and feelings they had held back for so long. Mia's hand found its way to Ni-ki's cheek, her touch feather-light, sending shivers down his spine.The kiss deepened, their hearts beating in sync, each moment feeling like an eternity and yet not long enough. When they finally pulled away, both were breathless, their foreheads resting against each other's."I've wanted to do that for so long," Ni-ki confessed, his voice filled with a mix of awe and happiness."Me too," Mia replied, her smile radiant. "This feels right, doesn't it?""More than anything," Ni-ki said, his hand still cradling her face. "I'm so happy we're , together"

The gentle rhythm of their breathing synchronized, creating a comforting lullaby. Nestled together, they felt an overwhelming sense of peace and contentment. With whispered promises of a new beginning, they drifted off to sleep, relishing the tender embrace and the unspoken bond that now connected their hearts more deeply than ever before.
