flashback. . .

The classes have ended, and it seemed that Beomgyu have chosen to ignore me. Well, I only did the same, so we ended up not talking the entire afternoon. I give back what I receive. It's fair that way.

I decided to walk home alone. Even though my mind is flowing with too many questions, I choose to brush them all away, and remain firm with my verdict to ignore him. Besides, walking might help me clear my mind anyway instead of taking the bus.

I take a deep breath after each one of it. My hands swing back and forth while walkig, until my left wasn't. I plunged my right fist to whoever grasped my hand, and the person swiftly stops it with their palm.

"Chill out, Shin." It was Beomgyu. I eye on our skin in contact.

It's spring, not summer, but why do I feel so warm? I did not realize that he's been holding my fist for quite a long time, and my hand too. My skin flushed even more. His palms fit well with my fist. His grasp was gentle, but unyielding— determined to keep that contact for a few more seconds.

My thoughts were wrong because he lets go immediately. I took a step back from him, and that's when I got to see him more clearly.

His hair was a mess. His button down white shirt had its 2 top buttons undone, revealing his white sleeveless undershirt hugging his now sweating body. His uniform coat was on the floor. With all this before me, I assume he's been running, with his coat in his arm. He had to let go of it because I almost punched him.

"I was shocked. You came out of nowhere, asshole." I turned my back to him, and continued walking.

"Ryujin, wait." I did not stop from walking. I think this will lead to no good. I better walk away fast. Run, perhaps? But that would be too obvious.

None of what I've thought equaled to what I did. I looked back at him, and ask him what he needed from me. He slides his palm to the back of his neck, and I stood there, waiting impatiently for his answer.

"Well?" I ask.

We both hear the familiar ring of door chime behind me. It's an ice cream shop that we go to after school when we were still new friends during freshman of high school. He eyes it, and looks back at me, meeting my gaze once again. He smiles. "Ice cream?"

We went in the shop, and Mr. Kim, the owner. immediately greeted us. "Little children! Welcome back!" Both of us bowed to him, and proceeded to looking for our favorite spot. The long table facing the window with tall chairs.
