Title: Somewhere in the Hippocampus
Genre: Romance with Science Undertones
This is a work of fiction. Unless otherwise indicated, all the names, characters, businesses, places, events and incidents in this book are either the product of the author's imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.
Somewhere in the Hippocampus contains themes and content that may not be suitable for all audiences. Readers should be aware that the following topics are explored within the narrative and may be triggering or sensitive: disaster, accidents, sexual content, existential dread, strong use of language, mental health challenges, and substance abuse among others.
Reader discretion is advised. If you are sensitive to any of these themes or find them distressing, please consider your comfort level before reading. I, as the author, acknowledge the importance of these issues in storytelling, but I encourage everyone to prioritize their well-being while engaging with the content. I will put trigger warnings before every chapter that needs one in order to alert everyone of potential distress.
This story is set on Mindanao State University - General Santos City. The generic culture of MSUans in the said campus will be evident all throughout the novel. However, there might be inconsistencies and/or cultural changes in order to maintain the storyline. I will still do my best to give justice to the said institution as the backdrop of this novel.
