End of beginning - Harry Potter

Year 1-1

Astoria is in her room at The Burrow getting ready for her first year at Hogwarts. Her twin brother Ron comes running in shouting "did you hear? Did you hear?"

Astoria who is standing by her bed with her luggage turns around and says "did I hear what Ron?" "Harry Potter is attending Hogwarts this year."

"Harry Potter?" Astoria asks in wonder, everybody knows who Harry Potter is, he's the boy who lived.

"Yes" Ron says in excitement, Astoria is getting more and more excited to go, and now with the news of Harry Potter she's even more excited.

The Weasley family is at the train station, searching for platform 9 ¾. "It's the same year after year. Always packed with Muggles, of course" Astoria's mother, Molly Weasley, says as they navigate their way through the platforms and people.

"Come on. Platform 9 ¾ this way!" Mrs. Weasley says to her 6 children following after her. "All right, Percy, you first" she says as she allows Percy to run through the wall between platform 9 and 10.

"Fred, you next" Mrs. Weasley says, looking at one of the older twins. "He's not Fred, I am!" George says, messing with their mother. Astoria can tell that it's George speaking and chuckles into her shoulder.

"Honestly, woman, you call yourself our mother!" Fred says to Mrs. Weasley. "Oh, I'm sorry, George" Mrs. Weasley says. "I'm only joking. I am Fred" Fred says and right after runs through the wall, and is shortly followed by his twin brother.

A boy the same age as Ron and Astoria walks up to the remaining family members and asks Mrs. Weasley "excuse me! C-could you tell me how to-" the boy doesn't finish his sentence and Mrs. Weasley takes over "how to get on the platform? Yes, not to worry, dear. It's Astoria and Ron's first time to Hogwarts as well." Astoria gives the boy a smile, "now, all you've got to do is walk straight at the wall between platforms 9 and 10. Best do it at a bit of a run if you're nervous."

"Good luck" Ginny, Astoria's younger sister, says to the boy before the boy runs at the wall and disappears. Ron lets Astoria go before him and she runs through the wall and is shortly followed by her twin brother.

Astoria and Ron are walking through the train, trying to find an empty compartment. They find one that is mostly empty, the boy from earlier is sitting in it. "Excuse me, do you mind?" Ron starts off by saying "everywhere else is full" Astoria finishes off by saying.

"Not at all" the boy says and gestures towards the seats in front of him. The twins take a seat, Ron sitting in front of Harry and Astoria sitting beside Ron. "I'm Astoria Weasley" Astoria introduces herself, Ron doesn't say anything for a second and Astoria nudges him in the side.

"I'm Ron, Ron Weasley" Ron then introduces himself. The boy from across them then introduces himself "I'm Harry. Harry Potter." The twins both open their mouths in awe, slight wonder on their faces. "So, it's true! I told you so!" Ron says, turning to look at his twin sister. Astoria just rolls her eyes and gives Harry a smile.

"I mean do you really have the?" Ron doesn't quite finish his sentence, instead he just points at his forehead. Harry, not quite understanding what he means, says "the what?"

"He means the scar" Astoria explains, Harry smiles and shows the twins the scar he has on his forehead. "Wicked!" Ron says and Astoria lightly nudges him in the side again.

The Trolley Witch then walks by the compartment and asks "anything off the trolley, dears?" The twins look at each other, and then back at the Trolley Witch, before holding up the food their mother gave them.
