Last night after my birthday dinner. I had the sudden urge to dye my hair back to brown not like really dark brown but like dirty blonde-ish. Lacey was so excited. After she was done dying my hair I had to go wash it and then blow dry, I didn't feel like washing dye out of my sheets. "Wow Quinn, you look good as an almost brunette" I look at myself in the mirror. Reminds me of when I played basketball. "Thanks lace, I'm gonna go to bed. Me and Paige have our breakfast 'date' tomorrow morning" I made sure to add air quotations on date. "Ooooo have fun, goodnight love you" she gets up on her bed and lays down. "Love you too" I fall asleep.
I'm sitting down at the coffee place waiting for Paige to get here. She said she would be here in 5, so I ordered our coffees. I heard my name get called, so I walk up to the counter to get our coffees. I was about to take a sip of my coffee when I get a notification from TikTok saying people are liking and commenting on a video I got tagged in from last night. It's an edit of me and her. About 3 minutes goes on and I'm still watching it. "Watcha watching" I hear someone say behind me. It was Paige looking over my shoulder, watching as the edit plays. She laughs. "I saw that one yesterday while I was scrolling on my fyp" she says as she sits down across from me. "I'm always getting tagged in these edits" she says while sipping her coffee. I look at her. "Of me and you?" I ask. "Yeah, oh remember that time where people thought we were dating?" She laughs. I laugh with her. "Oh I remember" I say. I missed this, just hanging out. "I like your hair, it makes your eyes pop" she says. I totally forgot I dyed my hair. "Thanks" I say.
After 10 minutes of talking about everything, I feel my chair get moved. She moved it closer to her. "What are you doing?" I ask. She looks at me "i thought you were too far from me, i think I have separation anxiety from you" she laughs. "Quinn I have a question." She speaks up. "Yeah?" I already know what this is about. "Why did you leave the team, I know you were injured but you had so much potential" she finally asks. "I was scared, I didn't want to get hurt again" I confessed. She smiles. "Why are you smiling?" I'm confused. "You just admitted that you're scared. You never say that your scared" it's true, no matter what the problem was, I would never ever admit I was scared. She pauses for a second "oh my gosh, I think you have a little crush on me" she teases. If only she knew, I'm just kidding that was a joke. maybe... "what no! I do not have a crush on you bueckers"
Paige
If only she knew what she was doing to me. Her green eyes are staring into my soul. She quickly responds "what no! I do not have a crush on you bueckers" bueckers... my stomach is tingly. I don't understand why I only feel like this when she says it. I laugh "wanna go back to my dorm?" I ask. "Yes, can you drive me? I walked here" I nod my head and we go to my car. "Wanna drive?" She looks at me "really?!?!?" She's cute when she's excited. "Knock yourself out" I say while throwing her the keys. She looks so focused on the road. It's cute. After about 5 minutes we arrive at my dorm. She gives me back my keys and jumps on my bed. "It's so comfy." She mumbles in my pillows. "I'm gonna go change, I'll be right back" I say while getting my clothes. She doesn't answer. She fell asleep.
After I'm done changing, I go back to my bed and lay down next to her. I watch tiktoks. I feel her move and now she's laying on me. I look down at her, she looks so peaceful while she sleeps. I'm happy that Geno didn't make us have practice tonight after we went crazy in the weight room. My body still hurts. I wrap my arms around her and fall asleep.
