The sunset brought a pinky-purple array of clouds. We all sat on a blanket in the middle of the beach. Izuku had brought along another friend named Tokoyami. He was very kind and even brought things for us to make s'mores with. "I hope you have a sweet tooth Monique, everyone else here seems to really enjoy their sugars." Tokoyami smiled as he handed me my own plate with the ingredients. I laughed and looked up at the wood in front of us.
"How're we going to light the fire?" I asked.
"THAT'S EASY!" Bakugo came running towards us.
"KACCHAN NO!" Izuku screamed but it was too late.

The heat blew us hundreds of feet back. My glasses were surely blown to pieces somewhere along the beach. The surrounding people screamed and rushed to our aid. Uraraka tried her best to help the heavy objects steer clear of us. Tokoyami shielded everyone using his Dark Shadow. My head was spinning and my ears ringing. All I heard was the distant sounds of commotion.
"Monique! Monique! I found her!" Izuku's arms were wrapped around me in an instant. The pressure and warmth of his body seemed to regulate mine. Through my blurry vision I was able to see that Bakugo had still succeeded; he lit the bonfire for us. "Are you hurt? Can you hear me?" His green eyes held a fire behind them. He was genuinely worried about me. I tried to speak but my voice was hoarse.
"Take her home, Midorya. This is not a good first impression for her." A boy with glasses and blue-black hair stood behind him. He had blue swim trunks on, revealing the engines behind his calves. I stared in amusement.
"Right. Hang on to me, Monique." He picked me up with ease. His muscle and his chest were firm and warm. It took all of my strength to keep myself from passing out. I felt Izuku start running. It shook my body in ways that were less than pleasant.
"Izuku," I began to heave, "put me down!" I saw his eyes widen as he moved quickly. As soon as my feet hit the floor I bent over into the grass. I felt Izuku pull my hair back and place his hand on my back. A rancid, sour vomit poured out of my mouth and onto the floor. My knees shook and my face swelled with the pressure I felt. I coughed and allowed my body to get rid of what it needed to.
"You're alright Mo, just let it out. I'm right here." Deku's words were like a warm coffee on a cold morning. I spit up what was left and sighed. I sat on the floor and burped. "Here." He said. He handed me a water bottle and a mint. I smiled and accepted.
"Sorry you had to see me throw up. Everything was too intense." I said through my swollen lips. Izuku sat down next to me. He placed his hand on my knee.
"Don't apologize. I'm sorry Kacchan got a little crazy." He smiled.
"When he said his quirk was bombs I didn't think he would show me like that." We laughed together. Izuku placed his head on mine as our laughter settled. My stomach turned.
"Let's get you home, Mo." He stood up and reached for my hand. I took it and began to walk alongside him.
"So how long have you been with Uraraka?" I asked rather shyly. Deku belly laughed at what I asked.
"You're so funny. She's a lesbian!" He smiled. My face dropped from confusion into an even deeper confusion.
"Oh! I didn't mean to offend you or-"
"You're fine! She has a girlfriend named Toga. She was a little crazy when we met but now she's a lot kinder." He explained. "Do you..ahem...like men?"
"I like all genders Mr. Midorya." I winked. Izuku's face tinged with a salmon pink. He laughed.
"Mr. Midorya, I like that." His eyes looked into mine. The green in his eyes was beautiful. They were matcha green, freshly cut grass green, maybe even a mix of moss green and monster energy green. Whatever shade it was, I loved it. "This is your apartment, right?" He asked. I looked forward and nodded. "Right...let me walk you in." His face was red again. If Deku knew how to do anything, it was blush.
"Sure. Follow me." I smiled and led the way. He was wearing a gray shirt with a silver necklace. His swim trunks were green. Even though he was a bit sweaty, his scent was engulfing me. I took my key out and opened the apartment door. I stepped inside and turned on my light.
"Well I hope you had a fun day, Mo. I enjoyed spending time with you." He let out a genuine chuckle while leaning against my doorframe.
"Do you want to step inside?" I asked quickly. My heartbeat sped up and I instantly regretted asking that. Deku's eyes widened.
"Oh thank you! Maybe another time, yeah? I should get back to check on everyone." He spoke reassuringly. I nodded and sent him on his way. My knees buckled a bit as I closed the door. I made my way to the couch and plopped down. The clock ahead of me read 10:47 p.m. I was tired but I was really hoping to spend more time with Izuku. He was very kind to me ever since I met him. He had such a cute little smile and a wonderful personality. I was just so glad to know that Uraraka wasn't his girlfriend.
Knock Knock Knock Knock
My heart dropped. I sprinted up and tried to slow myself down. It seems like Izuku might want to come inside after all. I fixed my hair a little and dusted myself off. I paused in front of my door and took a deep breath. I opened the door in excitement. My smile dropped.
"Hello horchata girl." Bakugo said. He made his was inside and opened up my fridge. My jaw dragged on the floor as I closed the door and faced him. He set a pot of chicken and beef stock on the stove and opened up a new packet of ramen from my cabinet.
"Boy what in the fresh fuck are you doing?" I crossed my arms over my chest and stared at him. He took two eggs and rinsed them under some water. He dropped them into the stock along with the noodles. "Bakugo? Hello you can't barge into someone's house-"
"This isn't a house. This is an apartment, brokie. You talk too much you should bite your tongue more." He snapped back. I saw as he took some scallions and started to cut them into thin slices. My eyes could have fell out of my skull from the shock I felt. Brokie??? HE'S CALLING ME BROKE AND USING MY KITCHEN?? He took some bok choy and mushrooms from my fridge and dropped them into the broth as well.
"Can you at least tell me what the hell you're doing?" I said in frustration. He turned to me and he held a bottle of soy sauce, sriracha, mayo, sesame oil, and an egg in both hands.
"Do you have any rice vinegar?" He completely ignored me as he rummaged through my cabinets. "Nevermind I found it." He grabbed a small bowl and poured in everything he had and only added in the egg yolk. He stirred it well and added some of the broth to it.
"I'm not going to ask you again what the f-"
"I came here to apologize dammit." He placed the pot on the counter between us. He added that little mixture to the broth and made it somewhat creamy. He topped it with the eggs, the green onions, blanched bok choy, and mushrooms. Next to either side of the pot was a soup spoon and a pair of chopsticks. "You wanted to be a little brat and keep running your mouth. If it tastes bad it's because you pissed me off. Now sit down and eat I'm starving and if you don't get a chance to eat anything I'm not going to feel bad."
My chest tightened. I couldn't bring myself to say anything. I walk towards the island and sat across from him. I took a bite and nearly shed a tear. "Bakugo this is delicious." I said happily.
"Don't talk with food in your mouth it's disgusting." His eyes were closed. He was 100% focused on eating. I shut my fat ass up and continued to eat. It was one of the best ramen dishes I'd had since I moved to japan. We ate in silence. The occasional slurp was heard every now and then.
"Thank you for the food." I said as he stood up from the table. He wore a black muscle shirt and white shorts. He had a silver cross necklace that sat perfectly between his collarbones. My eyes followed him as began to wash the dishes. "No it's okay I can wash them." Bakugo ignored me once again. "No seriously leave it there." I reached towards his hands.
"Stop it." He said firmly and gripped both of my wrists. He pinned them towards my chest. I winced a little and Bakugo let go. His ears were red. My shoulders were hot. I stood next to him silently as he washed the dishes.
