The cold breeze blew some of my long hair in my face. It was a cold, starry night, and my window was open behind me. I went downstairs to get a drink and I noticed that the door was unlocked. So I went to go check if both of my parents were home. This is the part that I clearly remember, as if it just happened. I opened the door to fall on my knees, crying, a knot in my stomach. What I saw was horrific, and I couldn't stand the sight. Me, a 7 year old little girl, I see both of my parents' necks slit and blood stains on the white and blue sheets. I went to go get my sister, Elaine, I shook her and yelled until she woke. She took one look at my face and knew something was wrong. She followed me downstairs, I didn't want to show her the horrible sight, but I had to make sure it was real. She had a look of pure terror in her eyes as she saw their limp bodies.
After that terrible 'accident' as my grandparents would call it, we lived and finished growing up with our grandparents. Now we are both grown and are on our own, sorta. We live together, stick together, I mean, we are twins. We both have pitch black hair, and the only difference is that mine is longer, hers is shoulder-legnth. We are both smart, athletic, and like the outdoors. We both did gymnastics and the cheer squad back in middle school. We are both 20, but have very different personalities. I like to be alone, stay in dark, creepy, shadowy places, I am short-tempered, I lose patience and get anxious easily. I am also very curious. Elaine on the other hand, she loves to be around people, she is a people-pleaser, she is very patient and tolerant. We are both very sweet. We both have green eyes and pale skin. He have a pretty nice life, and nobody would expect that deep down inside, our hearts are filled with hatred. A couple of years after our parents 'died' or 'got murdered', whatever you want to call it, Elaine and I vowed to get vengeance and seek out the person who killed our parents. I remember exactly what Elaine said right when she turned around and looked at me with pure terror in her eyes "who did this?" She had whispered it. The next 2 years, she was never happy or excited. She never wanted to come and play with me outside or do anything. Then when we both turned 10, we went into the bedroom, she had a grin on her face and even though she and I were only 10, I knew something was up. "I want us to take a vow," she said. "What type of vow?" I questioned her curiously. "I vow to find the person who killed Mommy and Daddy," she said quietly. I nodded my head in agreement then we vowed that we would. That's when I came to my senses "But won't we need to practice first?" I asked dumbly. "Oh yea..." That's why we joined gymnastics and the squad team/cheer team(I dont even really know cheer leading, that junk xD) We then asked our grandparents if we could join gymnastics that year for a birthday present, and sure enough, they said yes. And that's how I am now where I am.
