today was the day of the summer festival, the long awaited day for megumi and [name]. ever since the day he asked her out to the festival, the heavy weight on his shoulders go heavier.

megumi waited at the entrance, crossing his arms. he was alone, since yuji and nobara already made their way into the festival. they said they wanted him and [name] to be alone, to have more fun. though, he was kinda relieved, it was more of a vacation from the both of them.

"fushiguro!" a voice suddenly stopped his thoughts, he looked to see the very girl he had invited. he stiffened, straightening as he saw her in a pretty yukata.

"you look nice." he managed to say out loud.

[name] smiled softly, "thanks!"

megumi cleared his throat, for tonight, he felt like they could address each other by their first names. since they've know each other for a few months now. "hey, tonight. can we just call each other by our first names?"

[name] looked at him blankly, he never like anyone calling him by his first name. he never said why, but she decided just to take the opportunity to. "alright, let's go get food first, megumi!" she pulled his hand, beginning to make their way into the festival.

the two of them made their way to a food stall, where they could get some takoyaki. they shared it, while they walked around some more.

megumi looked around, his eyes landing on a fish stall. he stopped walking, pulling on her sleeve, gesturing towards the game. "you wanna play this one? you'll win a free fish if you get one." he explained to her.

[name] nodded, "why not? my siblings would like that for sure." she said, she walked over to the booth. she held onto his sleeve, pulling him over to the stall.

the two of them crouched down onto the ground, trying to catch them both a fish. though, the game was much harder than they expected it would be. the net to catch the fish was small, and it could rip easily.

"shoot..!" [name] sighed, she held up her net, that broke again. that was her fourth one in just ten minutes.

"want me to get you another one?" her date asked, he still had his net. he didn't mind paying either.

"no, it's fine. you should keep going though." she assured him, she stood up, leaning over his shoulder as she watched him try and catch the fish.

he shrugged, he brought the net underwater as he waited for a fish to go in it. luckily for him, the game was all about patience. something he was good at doing. soon enough, he caught one, without a sweat.
