It's been 6 months already since the project has ended.I finally gained the balls to ask her out 4 months ago.Right now I'm in Janey's house having a nervous break down because, I'm having feelings for this girl that I have never felt for anyone so it's a little overwhelming.
"Janey I don't know what is happening to me," I said while pulling my roots and walking back and forth.
"Lane why are you freaking out so much," Janey asked tilting her head in confusion.
"Janey I'm going to say something that might seem crazy," I said nervously.
"I'm best friends with you isn't that crazy enough," she joked trying to lighten the mood.
""Janey....," I whined in frustration.
"Ok ok go on what's you crazy idea," Janey said while rolling her eyes playfully.
"Janey I think I want to marry Dawn," I said nervously.
"Really," she said smiling.
"Really,"
"I think you should ask her," she said smiling
"What if she says no," I said doubting myself.
"I highly doubt she's going to say no Lane,"
"How are you so sure," I said hoping she would help me feel more sure about myself.
"Well your rich and I guess your kinda cute," she teased. I laughed and shook my head at Janey.
"Janey.... But seriously do you think she'll say yes if I propose," I asked once again.
"Lane sometimes you could be so oblivious.If you only saw the way she looks at you.She looks at you like if you were precious," Janey said and laughed softy.
"So you really think she's going to say yes," I said smiling at what my best friend just said.
"No I don't think I know she's going to say yes," Janey assured me.
"Thanks Janey I'm going home ok.Thanks for everything," I said and got up and hugged her.
"No problem I would do anything for you," she said and smiled at me.
"Ditto," I said smiling and walked out the door heading home.

I arrived home and made my way to our room to see her laying down watching tv.
"Hey babe how was your day at work," I asked while laying down beside her.
"It was very tiring," she said and yawned.
"What did you do," I asked.
"Um..I had meeting today and then I filed a lot also I received a lot of calls today," she said while looking at me tiredly.
"Why don't you go to sleep Dawn," I asked.
"I want to spend time with you," she answered.
"We will do something fun tomorrow together I promise," I said while giving her a sweet short kiss on the lips.
"Promise," she said and held out her pinkie.I laughed at her gesture but linked my pinkie with my anyway.
"I promise," I said and she nodded and I turned off the tv.Then I rolled to my side and wiggled my arms around her and pulled her towards my chest.
"Love you Dawn,"
"Love you Lane,"

"Lane wake up," Dawn said while shaking my shoulder. I groaned and hid under the covers refusing to get out of bed.
"Lane you promised me we were going to do something fun," she whined. I yawned and got myself out of the bed.
"What time is it anyway," I asked.
"It's 3:30 in the after noon," she said and chuckled.
"I slept that long," I said in disbelief and she nodded.
"Let's watch a movie together I'm tired," I suggested.
"Sure what movie,"
"We can watch Avatar," I said going to look for it.
"Never heard of it. Is it good," she asked.
"You got to be serious you can't tell me you have never seen avatar. It's the greatest," she laughed at my statement and shook her head.I slid the movie in the player and pressed play.
I guess Dawn thought it was boring or she was tired. But she feel asleep on my shoulder the first 10 minutes of the movie. I slowly got out from under her. And grabbed my phone and my coat. And left a post it on the door saying I had something to do. I dialed up Janey and waited for her to respond.After three rings she responded.
"Hey Lane what's up,"
"Do you think you can meet me in 6 minutes," I asked.
"For what," she asked.
"I want you to help me pick a ring for dawn," I said nervously.
" Sure I'll see you in 8 minutes," she said and hung up. I walked to the nearest ring shop and waited till I saw Janey.
"Why do you look so nervous," she said smiling at me.
"Uh it might be the fact that I'm proposing for Dawn," I answered sarcastically.
"Hey don't be rude,"
"Sorry I'm just nervous," I admitted. We walked around looking for a ring into I found a perfect one that Dawn will love.
"Oh my god that one is beautiful you should get that one," Janey said from beside me. I nodded in agreement and went to pay it.
"God luck," Janey said.
"On what," I asked.
"Proposing," she said and smiled.I really needed that cause I was really nervous. I drove back into the building I live in with Dawn and parked the car and ran up to the apartment. I opened up and looked at the couch to see that dawn was still sleeping. I smiled and went up to her it's now or never I thought. I kneeled down next to the couch and pressed a soft kiss on her lips and her eyes fluttered open.
"Good morning babe,"
"What can you possibly want," she said and yawned.
"Well I wanted to asked you if you wanted to marry me," I said causally.
"Yeah sure why not," she said and waved it off and then 2 seconds later her head shot up with her eyes wide finally comprehending what I said.
"What did you just say," she said wide awake now.I laughed and took out the ring from my pocket and asked again.
" I said would you do me the honor and marry me," I said with a huge smile.
"Oh my god Lane how can you ask me that question when I was half asleep," she said and laughed.
"Sorry but I'm still waiting for an answer," I said and laughed nervously.
"Yes of course," she said and pressed a kiss on my lips.
"Oh good because I was starting to think that you were going to say no," I admitted as I let out a sigh of relief.
"Yeah why would I do that," she said confused and I shrugged. The rest of the night we laughed and talked and drank wine.
