They are still on nublar setting up their camp

Sammy's pov

I was watching a few compes fight each other for a coin Kenij threw at them, until Darius yelled us over. "Okay, guys, let's just make base here. It's not the safest place on the island, but is there really any?" He walks over to the pile of trashed rubble from the past camp. "But we need food before it gets too late, so we should split teams, three get food, and three of us stay and sort through the rubble." Kenijs walks up to the pile of rubble and leans against a piece of wood, "obiv I should stay as I am the hardest wor-" Ben cuts him off, laughing" as if you will just pick one thing up and give up" he rolls his eyes. I look over to yaz and to Darius. "How about me and yaz stay, we are the best duo!" I say, raising my hand. "How bout I stay as well? It can be boys with boys and girls with girls, " Brooklyn says. Darius nods "ok it's settled, Kenij, Ben, let's go." He begins to walk away. "Wha, but ughhhh," kenij groans and walks away sloppy, and Ben, just Ben.

I jog over to yaz, "So where should we start first?" I smile at her. "Well, we should start organizing it?" Brooklyn says from behind me. "We should start with the big stuff first it will make everything easier in the end." yaz smiles back to me. I watch as yaz walks over and picks up a big piece of wood and throws it to the clean space of ground. I turn to see Brooklyn, and she is struggling. "O let me help you, oof." I try to pick up the other side of the wood, but it's really heavy. We both struggle and finally put on our side for our first piece of wood for our pile. I look over to yaz, and she already gets her fourth piece of wood like it's no struggle. "Woah yaz, slow down our you might hurt your back," I say jokingly, and she just chuckles. "Yaz really didn't need us to begin with," Brooklyn laughs. "Stop slacking guys and move some wood now," Yaz says, to make us stop complimenting her, but I know deep down she likes it. "Oh yaz, please, you know you're strong, but you're right. Let's get these wood moving," I say, getting our next piece of wood.

We finally make it to our fith piece of wood, and yaz has like two piles already, and I am out of breath, but Brooklyn I clearly done to her face is matching the color of her hair at this point. I look over to yaz, and I can't help her moments how she moves so fast but angelic. It's really memorizing. "Uh Sammy, I need your help here," Brooklyn says, taking me out of my trance. "Huh?, oh sorry Brooklyn, I got lost in my head." I chuckle. She looks at me for a second then at yaz and scoffs "you got somthing in your head for sure sammy" she laughs, I just rolled my eyes at her comment and help her with the wood. I genuinely don't get how Yaz looks so great. She has INCREDIBLE talents, but she doesn't have a boyfriend or girlfriend. Huh? I never thought of her having a crush on anyone. What if I have a crush on her? As I think that my stomach starts to tingle. "Guys, when do you the boys plan to get back? I think I'm getting hungry, " I say, holding my stomach, hoping the feeling goes away. "Probley sooner or later because the sun's starting to go down," yaz says, grunting. I can't help but just stare at her some more. "What you thinking bout this time, sammy?" Brooklyn says, raising her eyebrows up and down. I smile. "Oh nothing, let's try to finish up though I don't want to do this anymore, then i have to." Brooklyn just smiles and helps me with a sheet of metal. "Whooo," Yaz sighs as she leans against a tree resting. I look over to her side, and she has already finished with her pile, me and Brooklyn still have a lot more to go through. "Yaz, I know you're tired, but can you pleaseeee help us?" I whine. She looks up to me from her tree and laughs. "Yeah, sure," she jogs over to us. She helps us, and we end up finishing up sooner. We threw our last piece of metal in our organized piles. I sit down of the floor from relief, and yaz walks over to me and lies down next to me. "Man, those were heavy," she says, huffing. "Hah, as if you can say anything you were throwing them like feathers," Brooklyn says with the last bit of energy she has and sit down next to yaz. I only chuckle because I'm too tired to speak. We hear footsteps coming and voices of the three boys sent to get food. Kenij is talking to Ben about why the blowing stuff is not cool or something and Darius is holding three bags of food. Darius sighs and sits down next to me. "Did you only get food or what happened earlier?" I say, smiling. He rolls his eyes. "I should've left them with you guys, I was better off alone," he lies down. I look over to yaz next to me, and it looks like she is sleeping, I can't blame her she was basically carrying everything. As I stared at her some more, my stomach got the same feeling frome earlier. I turn to the bags of food Darius brought and ate a berry. It was delicious but I don't I was hungry, this, this is some other type of feeling? Odd, I never felt this way before. I look at kenij and Ben, and I feel normal, I look to Darius, and I also feel normal, I look at Brooklyn and same thing but when I look at yaz I get the feeling. Maybe I'm sick or something, so I look up at the sunset.
