I had finished my coffee and sat on the floor. Thinking about how generous the man was to pay for my order. Not to many people anymore cared for others.
I felt the side of my hip vibrate. It was a FaceTime call from my parents. I answered with one quick swipe.
"Hey mom, hey dad." I said with a smile.
"Hey kiddo what are you doing?" my mother had said
"Oh just sitting here thinking about everything."
"We miss you already and hope you can visit us as soon as you can." my father had said with a little sadness in his voice.
"I know I miss you guys to. Tomorrow I start my new job I'm so excited!" I said with a power to my voice.
"Well ok honey well let you get some sleep so you'll have a good day tomorrow, ok?" she said.
"Ok then well I will se you later , Bye. I love you both." I said as they hung up.
The next morning I woke up and felt a rush of anxiety run through me since it was my first day at the job.
I had gotten another taxi to the industry. As I walked in all eyes were set on me I could feel there gazes. I walked up to the front desk and ask. "I'm here for training. My name is Y/n Smith."
"Ok, I'm gonna have you come over here to your partner her name is Lila."
I saw this beautiful woman with short cut hair and dark brown eye. I sat down next to her and listened to what she had to say.
"Lila will be showing you the ropes around here."
As the woman left Lila glared at me before reaching out her hand. "I'm Lila, Lila Hargreeves and you are?"I could hear her accent under her breath.
"Y/n Smith." I said nervously with my hand reaching out to shake hers.
"Well, Y/n it's nice to meet you. Follow me, we'll start at the fabric room first." she said and I followed.
We entered the room and I was in shock of the array of fabrics. Any color you could imagine was there.
We had left and went to the work room. It was filled with desks and bodes next to the desks.
"This place is amazing." I said with a little giggle.
We then headed back to our seats. I pulled out my sketchbook and drew a long beautiful red dress with a slit on the left side that went up to her lower thigh. It was off the shoulder and low cut v-neck.
As I drew with precision Lila looked over my shoulder and her eyes widened with shock.
"That's A pretty damm good sketch. We need to make it and show boss." she said with the crevices of her lips widening into a smile.
"Yeah, sure I would love that. Let's go."I said as we walked down the hallway to the fabric room. There were to many red options to choose from.
"What about this one?" Lila said and pointed to a cherry red color. I nodded a now at her and kept looking.
"This is the one." I said and pulled out a scarlet red fabric. This I can work with. She nodded and left with me to the work room.
"Oi! We could use some tule to line the slit of the dress. Not to much that it would cover the lug though." she said with a plan in mind.
"Sure any more ideas to make this masterpiece come to life?" I said and she nodded a no at me.
We had gotten to work and after some pokes in the fingers from needles it was done. No wait it needs some pearls all over the dress.
"It needs pearls sowed into the dress." with a swift move I looked in a drawer and found some. We stitched them on and there now it was done.
"It's beautiful. You're a genius Y/." she raised her hand for a high five which I returned back. I checked the time and it was 5:00. It's time for me to go home.
"Shit! I need to get home I'll see you tomorrow ok have a good night." I said starting to walk away but a hand grabbed my shoulder.
"Wait it would be nice to get in contact with you." I nodded and wrote down my number and I was out the door.
A cab had picked me up and taken me home. Lila had texted me

I was so tired I changed into some pajamas and laid down on my air mattress in astonishment form today work. My eyes started closing and I dozed off.
