The Two And You

Chapter 1 - Rochelle

A couple soft knocks are heard at the door. "Come in!" I said from the other side of the room taking my piercings out. "Morning Lamb" Travis says walking in and smiling.
"What's up Lieutenant?" I say turning around and looking at him, "Well the cap wants to see you later, it's nothing bad actually so don't worry." He says with a slight chuckle. "Okay, am I in charge of dinner tonight?" Travis looks at you with a big smile "you're always on dinner duty!" I walk over to him and push him out of the room "I'll be there in a bit, gotta shower first" I close the door and walk over to the small bathroom in my room with a standing shower, toilet, and a small sink with a mirror above it.

I turned the water on and got ready for my shower, taking my clothes off and neatly folding them on the side. A bit later I get out and get changed putting on a black tight fitted long sleeve shirt on with my tan cargo pants. Slipping on some socks and my boots, I get up and brush my hair, and throw it in a quick ponytail before leaving the room.
Walking down the hall and turning right into the mess hall seeing a few of my team already sitting down waiting for you to start cooking. "I'm not doing this myself one of you is going to help" I look at them with a smile, I start to look around the room. "Davey! Come help, you can cut up the veggies for me"
Davey and I walk over to the kitchen and you go into the fridge and give Davey the veggies and he grabs a knife and begins to cut the veggies. I begin to cook the meat.

Dinner goes by in a flash, I walk down the hall to the captains office and knock on the door.
"Come in" Captain Ryan says from the other side of the door. I continue to open the door and see him sitting at his desk writing something down. He looks up from his paper "Ah Rochelle just the girl I was needing to see!" He gives you a warm smile and grabs a file from in his desk drawers. "What's that?" I said glancing down at the files in his hand. Ryan leans forward and gives me the file. I open it and start reading it. Soon enough a big smile spreads across my face. "You're joking with me right now!". "Nope, no jokes all real" Ryan says "You leave tomorrow morning to go to your new work base. Travis will drive you there, but be warned it's a far drive."

"Thank you for the opportunity sir!" I say with a smile going from ear to ear. "it's been wonderful working with the team!". "It's been great having you here, now Lieutenant GreyWood"
Lieutenant oh my God I couldn't believe it, all my hard work finally paid off. I walk to the door and leave, I spot Travis walking out of the mess hall and hold up the file and he smile. "See Lamb, I told you it wasn't bad news!" He claps with a cheeky grin on his face.

I walk up to him and hug him. "Damn, I'm going to be leaving, I'm gonna miss you". "I'll still be here if you ever come back" He smiles going to walk away. I've know Travis since I first started on this team, he was the first one to ever make me feel so comfortable. Travis reminded me of my father, who was always kind hearted and knew how to lift up my moods.
Travis was always my supporter and shoulder to cry on, he was a good father figure. He showed me the ins and outs of the team.

I walk down the hall to my room on the right. I rush into my room closing the door and quickly finding my bag. "God I'm so fucking excited, I can't believe it Lieutenant! Lieutenant! My mother will never believe it" I think to yourself shoving in clothes into the bag.
I walk into your bathroom and take out my tooth brush and toothpaste putting them in a smaller bag, along with my shampoo and conditioner.
I zip up the bag and throw it into the floor at the foot of the bed. I walk over to the clothes I had tossed to the side to wear for tomorrow and start folding them. "Okay that's done and that's done" I quietly mumble to myself, "I'll just go to bed now so i get enough sleep for tonight". I take my shoes and socks off and get into my shorts, I sit on the bed and pull the covers on top of me. Laying back I grab my phone and plug it in so I can call my mom before going to the new base.

A bit of a short chapter. Next chapter will be longer.
