Icy breeze flows over the empty road. The sky is cloudy, foreshadowing the upcoming storm. The streetlights cast upon the smooth road, the lustre of golden gleam over it seems like a gloss over the dry surface.

Amidst this romantic ambience, I am standing before the hottest man I have ever seen. Sitting on his motorbike with one foot on the edge of the footpath and another bended backwards, rested on the pedal of the bike. With his arms crossed, he is leering at me with those piercing green eyes from behind the black fringes curtained over his eyes. My knees are just one move away from buckling.

I'm wondering how can I talk if he keeps staring at me with that smoldering gaze. I feel small under them. As if I'm gonna melt by his burning stare. Regaining my posture in the most embarrassing way; which is stopping myself from biting my lips when he raised an eyebrow at me.

Now how should I start?

“I'm leaving.” all of my stupid thoughts went to gutter after his words penetrated my brain. I abruptly hold his arm to stop him.

“What?! No, please don't leave.” he glares at my grasp and I immediately retreat my hand.

“I am not here to watch you standing like the doll you are, blondie. Run your pretty mouth or I will take my leave.” blood rushes to my cheeks, burning my skin. He did not have to threat me in the sexiest way possible. Ignoring the excessive blood pump inside my chest, I focus on driving our conversation forward.

“Uh, I have something important to tell you.”

“Tell me the thing that I don't know.” God, grant me mercy!

“Okay so,” I trail off, “Who is Lee Do Hyun to you?” his expressionsless face morphs into a subtle baffled one. And eyes darker than the cloudy sky takes over.

“How do you know about him?” the only word that could label his tone is ‘suspicious’. The murderous look on his face ignites mixed emotions within my soul. And I find myself in dilemma which emotion should I let prevail over me.

None of them.

I choose to stay strong.

“Trust me, I will explain everything to you. Just tell me what relation do you have with him,” I plead him genuinely. And his solidified gaze melts for a second before those emeralds in his eyes become void again.

“He is my uncle.”

Shit. He is basically the nephew of that victim. And judging by the medical bill, they were really close. How will I tell him that his uncle has been brutally murdered?

“Now explain.” he demands as he let his body relax on top of his bike. It is gonna cost me dearly to inform him that his uncle is no more in this world.

“Uh hyung, actually what I am about to tell you is-”

“Get to the point. My patience is running thin.”
